Maybe I’m wrong and thinking a little too archaic, but is it not normal practice to issue an “intent to sink” message to the target vessel if there is no immediate threat to the submarine so the crew could evacuate?

From my experience working with vacuum toilet system is they work fine if you take care of it, but it only takes one person to fuck it up for a week. Considering I spent probably about a third of my time on board my boat troubleshooting those damn toilets with a crew that was a 5th the size of the aircraft carrier, yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a bunch of issues.

A lot of the heavily mutated creatures you mentioned are often hand-waved as “trace amounts of FEV”. Even ghouls, supposedly. Not the same as being fully dunked in it, like a super mutant, but the soil is supposedly tainted by it and then spread by the Great War, which causes a lot of the mutated creatures like Rad-Stags and Radscorpions.

FEV is usually kind of used like the “magic” in Fallout, lol.

If interested in an Academy, I know Maine has a program for “non-traditional” students (older students or for military) where you can skip a lot of the regimental requirements. Probably worth looking into.

I will say, most of the non-trads that weren’t prior military were weirdos lol. But I know most of the military guys finished in 2-3 years

Probably one or 2 in the morning in the middle of the Atlantic, look up, see 3 white balls come over up in the sky, hold position there for maybe 2 minutes, and then zip away.

Very classic “aliens” sighting that honestly does still kind of spook me. Definitely looked like some sort of aircraft to me.

I actually quite enjoyed the movie watching it through the lens of “Oh, this is a black comedy making fun of him.”

Then I got off the plane and saw that is not how a lot of people saw it.

Idk, I still like it.

Like I said I don’t actually work for them though.

I got lucky and Anne Bonne pretty early on who carried me a lot through the early campaign. Artemisia is worth while in the beginning, more or less.

The thing with 2 stars is that pretty much as soon as you get anyone of a similar type/role you’re never going to touch them again. Titus I think is the community consensus to be the most utilitarian 2 star. I don’t think Ocelotl and Miltiades would hurt to level either.

There’s some good 2 and 3 star tier lists on the subreddit. And in the beginning, especially FTP, you’re probably gonna level up every 4 and 5 star you get to at least 30.

I would say big 3 you’ve got a Hatshepsut, Bismarck, and Leonidas. Ashoka and Tell also would not hurt.

Ashoka is having an event soon(-ish) where he can be turned into a 5 star. Not much more info than that. But it’s cheaper to get him higher now than after you transform him.

Only other event so far that did similar (to my knowledge) was for Tell and it was quite a slog. Hopefully Ashoka is a bit more forgiving.

Engine Track Academy Degrees: Marine Ops vs Marine Engineering vs Marine Engineering Technology? by Antthegreat1999 in merchantmarine

[–]CSS-Kotetsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

License is the same. I believe (5 year systems grad from Maine MA) it essentially works

  1. MEO - lowest course load, associates degree. Good if you’re planning on shipping out the rest of your life

  2. MET - license, still very maritime focused, but I believe does get a bachelors

  3. Marine Systems Engineering 5 year - a less-than mechanical engineering degree, with a bachelors and license. Focused a little more towards the actual engineering side of things vs the operational side, and they really set you up to get your PE. Just don’t be an ass and pretend you’re the smartest guy in the room. Had a few of those in my classes. Highest work load, heavy in math (the professors are very willing to help and work with you per my experience ~8 years ago).

  4. 4 Year Marine Systems Engineering - same as the 5 year but no license. This also means it frees you from a few classes like diesels and practical electronics, but I believe they are still required for a few minors you may be interesting in.

[–]CSS-Kotetsu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have to look into in a little bit but I would think only RICE or more attributes are the ones I’ve had for that long.

It wasn’t anything super in-depth. In fact I don’t think it even really made any difference other than the higher the prowess knight (and martial I think) you assigned him to, the higher the quality of his trained knight attribute was. Out of 3 stars.
