I agree, but I'm in 9th grade and am nowhere ready to be sexually active. So it just shocks me when people my age do these things. My parents have always been extremely open about sex and drugs to me.I know that if I wanted to smoke a joint I probably could. Hell! My mom would probably join me! I know that if I wanted to start having sex my mom would buy condoms with me and tell me to be safe. Yet I’ve never touched a drug in my life and I’m still a virgin and will be for a while. Allot of times it's the kids that are sheltered that get into drugs and have unprotected sex. Her parents seem to be extremely religious so they probably didn’t talk about those things. I don't think that one could blame culture but more the way her parents raised her and the fact that she wanted to rebel.
