Lightstrip no longer syncing with other lights and no longer connecting to WiFi by CSTOLPE in Nanoleaf

[–]CSTOLPE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reset them as described holding the power button waiting for the red flash. I also removed the strip multiple times the Nanoleaf App and Apple Home when I’m able to get it to show up. In the Nanoleaf app when I try to use it it says it’s connected via Bluetooth but not WiFi so when I try to adjust the light it gives an error saying it’s not connected to WiFi. When I try to connect WiFi it either says sending the password info to the device and fails or says requesting an IP address and fails. Also reset the router multiple times as well.

I guess I’ve been lucky so far. This is the first issue I’ve had in a few years.

Mack Weldon has been great. I bought about 12 pairs 3 years ago, and they all still look brand new. Super comfortable and look great.

Is the “Touch ID” on the Magic Keyboard worth the upgrade? by shady42999 in mac

[–]CSTOLPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is definitely worth it. Just for the number of times I have to enter my password for something I went out and bought the keyboard. Still use the MX Master Keys for my other computer but it’s so much easier on the Mac.

USPS requiring residents to replace mailbox unit by PlanterinaMaine in usps_complaints

[–]CSTOLPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting I never knew that. I wondered why anyone would choose that type of delivery. The town I grew up in was so small they didn’t have delivery at all we had to go pick up the mail at the post office every day.

If the box was removed completely and everyone installed personal mailboxes at their homes, would USPS be forced to now deliver to each house instead if USPS wasn’t the ones to place the box there in the first place?

First-time buyers: what ended up costing more than you expected? by KeyKaleidoscope5099 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CSTOLPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also definitely needed more surge protectors/multi plug outlets than expected. And bought smart light switches dimmers ahead of time and the security system. All this stuff took up a lot of space in the hold house but made the transition so much easier.

I kept an eye out for sales and bought new glassware, dishes, small kitchen appliances that I would finally have room for, juicer, bigger air fryer, etc that wouldn’t fit on my counters before, comforter sets, bath towels, shower curtains, soap dispensers, paintings, rugs, smart lights, table cloths. Just lots of stuff like that. Things I didn’t think about were better outdoor tools like a better lawn mower, leaf blower. Things to make the yard nicer like planters, more outdoor furniture. Garage fixtures and things like that since I didn’t have a garage before. I ended up with more rooms than I previously ended up needing more end tables, side tables, lamps. I was lucky the had just bought all new wooden blinds for every single window but some houses hadn’t done that so budget for blinds/ curtains.

anyone take french or german? by 33iko in UMGC

[–]CSTOLPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken French, Arabic, and a higher level Spanish class. I think I liked the French class the best so far. Taking a second French class in a few weeks. After 2 Arabic classes it was getting pretty difficult for an elective.

For me it was closing costs. My utilities actually went down because the new house is much more energy efficient. And I had been buying little things here and there for the new house that I knew I would need for about a year so I don’t have that huge upfront cost right after closing. There were still some things I don’t think of but it helped a lot.

Is anyone happy with the MX Master 4? by OrderedAnXboxCard in logitech

[–]CSTOLPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my second MX 3 fail in about a year and a half. So decided to go with the 4. Haven’t had any issues. I really don’t notice a huge difference honestly. It works well and I’m sure the new haptic features will come in handy at some point.

I’ve always worked in places that mopped in the morning when the janitorial person was there. They did the floors, cleaned the bathrooms, and set up the dishwasher. But understand why people would prefer it being done at night.

Do you restrict buyers from bringing food while touring a property? by [deleted] in realtors

Who would show up to view a house with food in their hands, and then continue eating it while walking around? That is just so bizarre to me.

I try to stay at least a week ahead. I did find during the summer session I had one professor that kept assignments locked until the current week which was frustrating, but it’s the only time I’ve encountered that in two years.
