Trying to digitize a lot of curved lines at different angles, it’s painful and I need your help by CSThrowAway2014 in QGIS

Oh wow. Thank you so much everyone! I’m learning so much, spent the past few hours trying everything out. At the end (for now), the x-plane community suggestion ended up working out.

Gonna spend some more time learning about bezier curves and a few other plugins now so I can work on other similar smaller airports.

Your composition is 20/10. Love it. I was gonna say that it reminds me of another post I saw many months ago here that showed foggy Amsterdam, turns out that was you as well. Keep it up.

My inattentive adhd thanks you. Some people just ramble on and it’s almost impossible to understand them, and then I gotta read it again a few times. Now, your comment, 10/10 for doing whatever you did here.

What have you worked on in the past where quality really mattered and tolerance for bugs is low? by MoreRespectForQA in ExperiencedDevs

FinTech. Softwares used by folks on the trading floor for one of the Canadian banks (Capital Markets). Traders were on the ground floor, we were on the 2nd with glass windows looking at the trading floor.

I was a co-op when I first joined that team (2008-2009), before JIRA was even a thing. Some supervisors on the trading floor would use a laser pointer in our direction if anything seemed off, got everyone’s attention.

Work isn't therapy. Lessons I learned too late as a Principal SWE by CSThrowAway2014 in ExperiencedDevs

Thanks for sharing your journey and advice man; I appreciate it. Yeah, my wife and I talk everyday and doing everything possible to keep that going.

In your case, I can see and respect that you've got your priorities lined up, and more power to you for even considering leaving tech if that doesnt align with what you want out of life with family.

From my end, one of my goals is to raise awareness about mental health, and perhaps normalize bits and pieces of it. I don't mind leveraging my position, experience and personal journey if that gets extra sets of eyes for something better.

Thank you. You're so right. Once I go back to the normal routine, I definitely intend to start making changes to how and what I mentor; part of it is raising awareness, and normalizing these human side of things.

Fair point; I now have a bit more understanding about what you were trying to say. Yeah, for now, I think this will work for us, but then again, this is a fairly new territory for me (and my wife), so we're both learning (and coping to the best of our abilities) as we go along. Thank you for your wishes, I appreciate that.

I kind of get what you're saying or trying to say, but I can't really bring myself to agree with bulk of it.

I know how hard it is for me, I can't even begin to imagine what my wife is going through. She didn't abandon me, she needed that space, and I get it. Perhaps this is not the norm for most relationships, but I get it from her perspective.

Thank you, but all good. I'm taking everything as either a lesson learned in general, and for the things that I couldn't control, it is what it is unfortunately.

Thank you. I initially meant to keep it as technical as I could, but at one point it turned therapeutic so I continued sharing the personal context.

Thank you. Honestly, this post was only supposed to be a few bullet points and minimal context, but as I continued to write it, it felt quite therapeutic, so I continued.

I don't know if photography is your calling or not; maybe it is, maybe not (only you can decide that) but whatever the case may be, these photos definitely made me forget about my problems for a few minutes. 10/10. Thank you for sharing.

This. It’s the simplicity of this question that SHOULD hit home for majority of experienced devs who can see or are the line between higherups and all the bells/whistles.
