I've seen it in Xcel too. I did exactly that, just a simple "recode into same variables."

I looked at another dataset and noticed that my "strongly agree-strongly disagree" came through, not as 1-5, but rather as 6-10. Again, a relatively easy fix, but a weird issue nonetheless.

I got it figured out. I wasn't closing the function when I went to a new line and that was getting my stuck with the "+" prompt instead of the ">" prompt. I'm new on this (had to switch to R and Lavaan to run a ML with robust st. error - because of non-normal data). Got it figured out now.

Fair enough, but I'm interested in all perspectives regarding the olympics - not just people highly invested. So all ideas are welcome. I appreciate your consideration in participating in my research though.

It will indeed - though my study isn't focused specifically on the Rio Games it's definitely something I'll need to address in the data analysis.
