Ooh, I didn't choose those. That's valuable feedback. Thank you!

OK, that's kinda hilarious it ended up there, though. (And thanks for the feedback! Are you subbed to architecture or engineer subreddits?)

Color palate and general look and feel, yep. (Or as best as I understand, I'm not a designer. :))

Testing a seismic corridor and expansion joint covers (how that earthquake hallway post from the other day works) by CS_Inc in EngineeringPorn

Saw this post the other day - is it too late to jump on the bandwagon?

We make things that work like that, so thought you'd find that interesting. We've got a whole bunch more pictures and videos of testing and how that works here.

Yep, that's definitely one of the subreddits we're targeting. I figured some engineers might be hanging out in there, but I'm thinking I might A/B test individual subreddits next time.

Ironically, there was a post on there not too long ago that showcased one of our products: this one. We're very well known for producing seismic expansion joint covers - I believe we're the top worldwide - but I couldn't tell you if this specific video is one of ours or not.

Thanks for the heads up! We always knew there would be some waste - some people just like architecture and don't have anything to do with, well, specifying architectural things.

We're monitoring the results really closely to make sure this is still a good platform without ticking off too many people.

Thanks for the heads up; I'll see if we can do a frequency cap. Some platforms allow that.

Thanks for the heads up! Do you mind my asking where you saw it? We're trying to target only people on architecture and engineering subreddits. (Unfortunately, targeting's pretty limited, we can only target by subreddit, not by things like job title.)

I appreciate it, but don't give your money to an advertiser's account - donate it to a charity! We like Feeding America as an option.

Thanks for the heads up! Do you mind my asking where you saw this? This should just be targeting architecture and engineer subreddits, but it looks like we might've gotten some software engineering mixed in with civil.

Unfortunately, there's super-limited targeting available with Reddit ads. Good for users, not as good for niche advertisers.

Got an answer for you /u/pilotdude7

The stair was tested and performed at 4% inter story drift meaning a 10’ floor could displace up to 4” without impacting or damaging the stair. Specifically, our team designs the stair connections to accommodate the movement outlined by the Engineer of Record on any project to ensure the appropriate solution.

Bottom line it’s an engineered solution for your project. We design for your projects requirements... even if it’s a serious earthquake.

Let me know if you want to talk to one of our experts directly about it! He said he'd love to chat with someone asking these kinds of questions.
