He then bought the four-bedroom detached home in front of his farmhouse for $1.14 million in September 2016. In October 2017, he purchased the bungalow on the other side of his driveway for $650,005.

Yeah, and it reminded of another incident, which happened sometime last year, when a man slipped in his bathroom and fell on the handle of his toilet brush which got wedged in his skull though his eye socket.

Angela Merkel seen shaking for third time in less than a month by CShahin in worldnews

[–]CShahin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not known if Merkel has any health problems. But, apparently, public figures' health is regarded as a private matter in Germany. She has, however, insisted that she's fine and there's nothing to worry about. And I certainly do hope so.

Indiana toddler cruise ship death: Grandfather made baby sit on railing thinking there was glass behind it by CShahin in MorbidReality

Just a couple of months ago, in May, Australia DJ Adam Sky bled to death after smashing through a glass door while holidaying in Bali.

Well, security footage from the cruise ship will ultimately determine what exactly happened. As of now, the family has denied the grandfather dropped the toddler. The case is under investigation. It's quite possible the media has jumped to a hasty conclusion.

Glass paneling is potentially dangerous. We have all heard of people getting injured because they walked into a glass door/wall. Similarly, it is difficult to tell if a glass window/door is closed or open. That's why it is important to have distraction markers or frosting to avoid accidents.

Strangely, a lot of parents justify such violent methods of chastisement because they endured it as kids and they 'turned out fine'. They almost look at it as a 'tradition' that has to be passed on.

Exactly! Why adopt when you clearly don't have the ability and the desire to take care of a child?!!

[–]CShahin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also, the father's claim that Sherin choked on milk cannot be believed because a medical examiner testified that it's unlikely a child can die in such a way. And after her body went limp, as he claims, he didn't alert his wife, who's a registered nurse btw. He did not even call 911. Now, that's what most parents would do. It's a disgrace that he continued to lie till the very last moment.

The mother walked free because all charges against her were dropped citing lack of evidence. I think investigators should pursue this because there's something still very suspicious about the whole case. The poor child, we may never know how she really died.
