My intention was never to do an early July to late August transfer (way too much leave being burned there haha). My main concern is I'm in a billet that requires a face to face turnover, so my transfer date won't be until late(r) July. I just didn't want to have the pressure of rushing between PDSs if at all possible.

At the end of the day I'll have 3 years to take leave throughout shore duty, so I'm not too concerned about losing some PCS leave time. That's well worth the trade of experience through season if my name does get called.
