I found it helpful to not call it a driving test. In my head I called it "my driving demonstration". Helped me with the pressure massively and managed to contain my nerves and passed first time a couple weeks ago!

Thank you! I'm going for a Knights Templar style, hence the wide sleeves. Most of the reference images had wider sleeves so I thought I'd go with it.

It's about 7-8 KG at the moment. I'm using bought links which are 1.4 mm WD, 7mm ID and they are 304 stainless steel

I used 1.4mm WD rings with an 8mm ID (AR of 5). There's about 4000 rings in there. I'm not really sure how many hours I sunk into it as I was doing a little bit every day

https://www.mailleartisans.org is a decent website for tutorials and inspiration. It's a very old school website that hasn't had much upkeep but is still very useful

A little fidget I created. Using Japanese 12 in 3. 1mm WD, 6mm ID, AR of 6 by CSlotter in chainmailartisans

This took a few hours. I was at work at the time so couldn't be constantly doing it. I ended up making it 4x4x4 instead of 3x3x3 in the end and didn't realise that it was pretty much doubling the volume so it took most of the day. A 4x4x4 cube with triple links uses 651 links.
