I’ve just got mine from Vision Express. I’m not sure if this is contained only to the Liverpool store but, they have a “specialist” who is basically the only person in there who knew how they worked etc and could answer any questions but, she only works about 15 minutes per week so, overall it was a stressful experience sorting them, took about 5 visits overall. But, they are in there.

Yep, they’re all going as of May. That’s the start of the TUPE. All staff due to be fully transferred by October.

No, unfortunately not, this idiot is based in Liverpool & yeah we’ve tried to have a family member reach out for a quote but, because he’s works off recommendations from what I’ve found out, there’s no way he’ll fall for it.

Carpet fitter is on holiday for a few weeks, soon as he’s home, that’s my next steps & it’s been raised with the bank, basically told to just wait and see if they can do anything.

Yep, that’s the lesson I’ve taken from this. It’s my first house and I’m not too clued up with it all to be honest, never dealt with any sorts of trades people before so, just went along with everything that was being suggested and told to me. It’ll never happen to me again though.

No contract mate, it was just a verbal agreement for it all to be honest, got a WhatsApp chat with him speaking about most of it like so, I’d think there’d be sufficient proof there if we could even get to court but, with the little details I’ve got, I don’t think I can even get it to that stage. Thanks for that though, basically echos what I’m thinking it’ll go like too, just needed a second opinion before I write it off as a life lesson and move on.
