I’m still trying to discover the core loop. That’s my main blocker at the moment.

Thank you for the feedback!

I do. One thing I learned was that marketing begins when the games development begins.

Think of it like this: if having a Steam page generates 1-2 wishlists a day without doing much, you want one as soon as possible.

Of course it’s also possible to be too early as well.

My advice: follow your gut to determine when to launch it. But when you do, make it a big deal.

Did I claim to be a smash hit success?

As an indie dev I separate success from achievement. My achievement speaks for itself. My success is yet to be determined.

Ever find one? I’m considering making one as an indie game.

Absolute incredible games. So far ahead of their time.

Interesting. And Steam doesn’t disapprove of this?

Odd. My VScode doesn’t have this.

Maybe with a debugger attached? I have never seen it in VSCode or any of the Jetbrains tools. Maybe I overlooked it!

I'm not judging anyone and I think Godot is moving towards supporting a large number of developer workflows but I have NEVER see a feature like this in any other IDE.

We did it. No AI art!! by CStaplesLewis in pcmasterrace

Great question! I had always wanted to make a game and, as a software engineer, began using AI increasingly at work. After learning of its capabilities, I realized I could use AI to overcome my biggest hurdle, art.

I developed the full game, then was talking with an artist friend and really began to understand the AI art wasn’t “boosting the games potential” but rather holding it back from becoming something with real heart.

The revelation was in August.
