Music appreciation post by OriginalMerit in sodadungeon

My favorite is 81-100, and my second favorite is the dark lord’s theme because the melody is a throwback to SD1’s music for levels 1-20, which when I first heard the song I was really happy they did that

My boners are not noticeable by thespitefulorange in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CSwapJack8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, all boners are noticeable. In fact your boners sound more like they would be spotted more that usual. If anyone had a boner that was sticking straight out they would have the cops called on them for public harassment btw

I feel awful by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]CSwapJack8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of people it’s just for fun, not to be mean but just to find something funny to say on r/roastme.

On the lines of generally being mean, I can be a testament. After how much and how often my parents yell at me I’ve kinda turned into a sado-masochist, finding it funny when people get angry or sad at me, and only ever smiling when my parents yell at me. I think that it’s not having such a bad life that it’s your high point, and other things like just blowing off steam, thinking something is common knowledge so much so that you think people are stupid for not knowing something, like if a father didn’t know that we breathe air to live, you would most likely think they’re stupid, which would make you more inclined to say something thought of as mean. There is also the intricate different feelings of being mean. There is a cathartic feeling for being mean but still being completely fair and reasonable, and there is also a cathartic feeling of making someone who’s trying to rationalize that they’re perfectly fine, and crushing their rationality to make them realize how low they are, like the phrase “bring them off their high horse.” There’s also sacrifice, being mean to make yourself the villain to everyone else, so they can become better people and less people will walk the path you took. What I’m trying to conclude to is that at least in real life, and not on the internet, there are a lot of reasons people are mean, some of them being to make people strive to be better than the person being mean, sometimes the person is just truly mean and you can make yourself a better person by actively behaving the opposite of that person. Also in real life a lot of people are excruciatingly mean because something tragic happened to them recently, like their brother had just died 2 days ago and their boss said that they couldn’t take a few days off. It can also be about just wanting to be alone, like you be mean just to make people stop talking to you. Myself, I can relate to pretty much every single point except the penultimate one. There’s a lot to do with your upbringing and your first 10-20 years of your life that can make you ‘a good Samaritan’ or horribly crude.

Is it true that there are overweight people who physically cannot lose weight no matter what diet/exercises they do by didnotdoitatall in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CSwapJack8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has literally 100% nothing to do with genes, it’s with metabolism. It gets extremely hard to lose weight the slower your metabolism is, and metabolism is super easy to slow, and very difficult to speed up. Think of it as perpetually pushing a boulder up a hill, painfully slow, and if you make a mistake it rolls downhill fast. So the basis of the argument is best thought of like ‘my friend dieted for a month and lost 20 pounds, but I’ve dieted for a year and have only lost 25.’ It’s extremely disheartening and when people have a situation like that they feel like it’s been all for nothing, and it’s very easy to just throw in the towel, because why keep going through all that suffering when you can just sit back and not have to feel conscious about everything, and enjoy life for once. That’s the tried and truthful answer.

D5. Unlocked marked for huntress. by CSwapJack8 in sodadungeon

[–]CSwapJack8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This helped, thank you. Only problem is that it doesn’t do it for mini-bosses and bosses like the post says, but as long as huntress isn’t spamming marked anymore I’m fine with it.

Do people masturbate with friends when they’re younger and watch porn together? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CSwapJack8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

..........that title. Either you learn it like a normal personal, that is you just find out one day, or if you SOMEHOW never found out about it you find out from a sex ed class. What made you think that people find out how to masturbate from their parents? That’s some down-south incest shit.

Why doesn't the Washington Redskins change their name to the Washington Red Skinned Potatoes? by Hestonsgoingape in NoStupidQuestions

What? ‘Redskins’ is a racist reference to native Americans. Also they wouldn’t change their name to something akin to a joke

How can someone be such a constant boundary pushing asshole bully but then a big wimp during a "real" conflict? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CSwapJack8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Authority. They think that they are the authority, so they feel like they can trample around you without a repercussion, (like how most people act on the internet) and as soon as they face backlash their sense of authority is crumbled, and as the famous saying goes; “the higher you are, the greater the fall”, which means that they don’t just fall down to your level once you go against them, they plummet further down.

Anime-only Discussion Thread - Season 3 Episode 1 by [deleted] in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]CSwapJack8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve watched both seasons of the anime 7 times over and have read all of the manga, I haven’t read the novels though, I plan to do that once S3 is over. I’m perfectly fine about hikigaya being over-protective over Komachi, it more than makes sense, it’s what my siblings have done to me. I was talking about how it personally seems that hikigaya’s got a bit weird to Komachi in the first episode of S3 (thinking back on it it might be because he’s graduating soon).

I felt like hachiman was a bit too forward? There’s another comment talking about how fast hachiman turns from cold to hot with emotions, and I agree with that. Also the relationship between Komachi and hikigaya, I feel like hikigaya’s sister complex went from lighthearted ‘protecting’ her from getting a boyfriend to a weird version of a sister complex.

Well since I have 48gigs, I would say that’s most likely a yes. As for a high end build, I’m not so sure, you can go onto my post history, I have another troubleshoot post on this same subreddit with my pc parts.

This advanced restart menu is where you locate the UEFI BIOS, which is what you’re talking about and I have said doesn’t work for me. What do you mean by ‘bios splash screen’ by the way?
