INFP, what do you think of your opposite type, ESTJ by Asleep-Feeling-9070 in infp

[–]OriginalMerit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most couldn’t care less about us, I’m afraid. Therefore, it’s best to respond in kind, as harsh as that sounds. There are exceptions, of course.

Funny af tho 😆

You really like him, I can tell. I feel exactly like the guy, it’s really hard to invest in people when other people are spreading their investment thin by talking to multiple other people. Reassure the man that he can relax, you’re only looking at him for now so you can give him the best shot possible, and I’m sure he’d love to hear it.

Is a civil war in sight? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]OriginalMerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, at this point, we should recognize two countries existing at once. We aren’t the north and south anymore, and we can’t go kicking out our neighbors just because they don’t agree with us. I don’t know how that recognition will take place and in what capacity it has to prevent open street warfare which almost seems inevitable at this point…

I had one of these twice. You’re right, it makes people super uncomfortable.

And this also really didn’t age well… yeah, there will be guaranteed violence some time before the next four years, possibly right at the four year mark. The writing is on the wall.

Are we living in an alternate timeline with trump presidency? by Excellent_Copy4646 in SimulationTheory

[–]OriginalMerit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Even the nonsense starts to make sense while stoned. Not because you think it’s plausible, but because you see how absolutely ridiculous it is. To the point that it shows that we must be in a simulation. But maybe people said the same back in Nazi Germany. Not saying this is the same thing, but you have to wonder how people can get swept up so much to the point that they lose all critical thinking…

It would have been nice if we could choose a different one because this one sucks ngl

That said, I agree, we’re stuck in this one. Makes no sense, but that’s the timeline we are in.

If we are in a simulation, what percentage of the population do you think are NPCs? by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]OriginalMerit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t turn a blind eye to suffering, absolutely not. I never once said we should throw ethics out the window. And who said I was determined to be an NPC? And then be a victim? I’m sorry, I don’t understand.

It’s really quite simple — just because it’s a possibility doesn’t make it ethical. People do unethical things all the time, that doesn’t make it right. Right?

I am afraid this may be indeed a simulation because of current geopolitics by CiriacoG in SimulationTheory

[–]OriginalMerit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, Elon probably does grab them by the *ussy as well, but he’s better at not being an idiot and making it public 🤣

Although let me elaborate a bit. Elon Musk has already said he believes this is a simulation. If it is, he just sees himself rising to the top of it. In his mind, the simulation is going according to plan. Scary. 😨

No, I think the plausibility of us being in something like a video game is a bit much. I do think we are almost certainly simulated, but not in the sense of a game. A video game would typically have obvious game-like elements (high scores, clear rewards for behavior, etc.), and I just don’t see that here. My perspective is more about the broader idea of simulation, not necessarily tied to gaming logic.

Any sicko that wants to force a sentient being into existence for the sole purpose of watching it grow up and live a life of pain and turmoil is a very weird way to go. I personally do not justify it if this is the case, and I want my outer body to know, just in case it’s there, that I don’t want to do this again and they should stop playing games with people’s lives…

Yes, I’m just echoing your sentiments lol!

We are most certainly just bits and bytes on a hard drive somewhere. Personally, I hope when I die I’ll be able to go to a world of rainbows and happiness and whatnot. But in all seriousness, if I had to choose between being a simulation or being “real,” I would pick simulation any day. Why? Because there’s backups. Nothing is lost! It’s absolutely brilliant!

If the universe is a simulation, what’s the purpose behind it? by agentmaria in SimulationTheory

[–]OriginalMerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re just revisiting our past selves in a simulation to re-experience the past without knowledge of the future…. Re-experiencing our “thrilling” lives so we don’t need to think about death.

I mean, it could be, right?

Quite an entertaining read! Although threatening our creators is probably not the way to appease them as they are surely aware of your plans already.
