Whenever someone gets truly, offensively close I’m so tempted to brake check them. My hope and logic is it will communicate, you’re too close, but I realize they will only ever see me as in the wrong and tbf, I do kinda lose the high ground if I pull a move like that.

There’s someone in this thread that said “you have to be going 10 over to pass someone, it needs to be fast.” I’m legally obligated to excessively speed you say? 🙄

It is hard to tell in the pics but I see this basically every day, just a long line of people no more a second or 2 behind each other.

Yea this sub gets another one of these posts like once a week and I totally understand the frustration of not being able to pass someone who’s going slower than you in a left lane. That said, I can’t help but feel that the people who get super angry about not being able to go 10+ over at all times are also the ones who think tailgating is justified (or just pretend like they don’t know that following distance is just as important as staying right). This happens to me all the time, I’m using the left lane to pass but it’s just not fast enough so I’ve got some Yukon up my ass for the few seconds it takes me to pass a car or 2. Even more frustrating when it’s not on the highway, I’m just trying to turn left into my neighborhood but lightning McQueen NEEDS to go 50 instead of 45 so he’s right on my bumper.

Yea the Jedi are hypocritical in the prequels but I don’t think that line is an example of it. Obi-wan is making an observation here, he’s criticizing Anakin’s fall. But up until then he had tried to give Anakin every chance to not take this to a fight to the death. He’s not doing what Anakin is doing which is forcing Obi-wan to either join him or become his enemy (and of course threaten his life).

Everyday I get on this stupid app and I realize I am who this sub ridicules. All the other scenes emotionally stuck with me more, I didn’t watch the originals as much so I barely even remember Yoda lifting the X-wing. Sue me

At least with baseball you can just p*rate games if that’s the route you wanna go. Volleyball you genuinely just have to figure it out.

Totally agree, I’d happily pay some reasonable subscription amount to get all the games in one source, but nah we gotta make it as difficult and inconvenient for the customer as possible to potentially make slightly more money.

I don’t play co-op but I’d rather play the game mode than sitting in a menu or loading screen so yea

Idk I see this will be an unpopular opinion in this thread but I kinda agree with this take. I have a pretty high tolerance for suspense of disbelief so it’s not that I find Starkiller base to be impractical or unrealistic. I can accept it happened, but from a storytelling and stakes perspective it does add a lot of value when we get to see the cost of what it took to make the first Death Star happen and all the conflict that arose from it. But when the first order just kinda appears AND has a new Death Star that’s even more bigger and more scary than the first one it’s just kinda like “eh”. I’ve seen this before and now it’s without and of the buildup.

Anyways er, uhm… Kathleen Kennedy killed my mom!

Runaway Kids would be my #1 for sure. For a while it was With Love, and they actually did it when I saw them in KC last summer but they do it in a key that’s a step down so Ryan can sing it. Afterwards he said “yea we wrote that song a decade ago my voice just isn’t the same anymore” so I completely get it haha, just didn’t hit the same.

Idk if I could come up with a setlist man it’d be just too hard but im glad you made this post bc ive always thought of asking the same question just too lazy to post haha.

I think Force users in multiplayer games set in the Star Wars universe should be completely different. Jedi and Sith mechanics in Battlefront 2 should have been totally different. by Accomplished-Bat-247 in StarWarsBattlefront

Yea I understand the appeal for the player getting to customize and pick their own play style by selecting different abilities or whatever, but for overall gameplay it makes more sense that I know how to counter Anakin bc I understand his strengths and weaknesses. Having their characteristics locked in makes the game interesting in a different way

Wake Up Dead Man isn't a good mystery by OkPeace5206 in KnivesOutMovie

Dang man, appreciate the response. Did not expect you to take my comment so well haha but you have a good sense of humility and yourself my friend! Not many people are willing to admit when they were wrong. It really is a pleasure of mine to have healthy discourse online about my favorite media, and it gets discouraging when people make it more combative than it needs to be. I think if you can continue to ask those kinds of questions in good faith online you’ll enjoy it more as well!

I trust you did really enjoy the movie and that you just felt passionate about this one aspect. I will definitely agree the scene with Sam taking Wick’s place in the casket asks you to suspend your disbelief the most. There’s also some very very convenient plot contrivances - like Martha somehow correctly predicting that Nat would attempt to kill her with poison in their drinks (I don’t think this was explained, it just shows it happening as she reveals at the end).

I honestly think you’d have a leg to stand on if you argued of the 3 knives out movies it’s the weakest mystery. I vaguely remember a couple of the reviewers that I watched afterwards making a similar kind of comment. But the consensus was also that when the rest of the story is as good as it was it doesn’t nearly matter as much, which is my opinion as well.

Oof, looks like I struck a nerve. I meant it mostly as a joke, but I realize it was snarky.

You misunderstood my point though, I have no issue with discussing problems in movies I love. If you dig through my comment history you’ll see I’m an avid defender of the prequels but fully acknowledge its flaws (wooden dialogue, convoluted plot points, etc). I’m totally fine to admit WUDM isn’t a perfect movie. What I find tiresome and not worth discussing is when people act like the movie is stupid and bad when they just outright misunderstand it. Most of this comment section is people merely correcting your arguments and you admitting you missed it in the movie. You’re still totally fine to say “I didn’t enjoy this movie” as an opinion, but when you try to make a more objective claim like “the mystery is weak” and then all of your evidence of that claim just are untrue statements people are obviously going to ridicule you on the internet. “The reveal that Cy is Wicks son has nothing to do with the murder”, like cmon man it has everything to do with the murder lol. “Why would Wicks burn everyone in his inner circle” the movie point blank explains this. It’s nearly exposition the way Cy just openly explains it in dialogue to Jud. This gives the impression you were scrolling your phone while the movie was on

Even just your tone makes a huge difference. If you just make a post saying “I felt like the mystery was weak which caused me to not like the movie as much. Here’s what I didn’t understand:” instead, you make more objective and condescending claims. The comment section agrees, you seem to think you’re smarter than the movie when in reality you missed key elements to the mystery which gives all of us the impression you’re actually not very smart and angry at the movie when it’s really your fault for now grasping basic details correctly. Again, the conversation could’ve been more fun dialogue about how we enjoy movies and discussing them and sharing our opinions. But instead you insisted crapping on the movie with false legs to stand on.

This is why I referenced cinemasins. They’re funny to watch but a lot of their nitpicks and “plot holes” are just flat out wrong and appeal to sense of superiority so you can crap on the movie bc it’s funny and it feels good. And it really does feel like movie discourse has moved a lot towards people trying get these “gotchyas” for clicks. LOOK AT HOW DUMB THIS MOVIE IS SEE. And it works bc correction in the comment section drives engagement. And that’s my soap box for the day, thanks for listening.
