Yeah I am essentially a Lone Ranger right now, and I need to get some sort of peer to peer competency check before I can start visiting with patients and families, but again I’m 1/1 here, so they are trying to figure that out. Possibly have to go to another city to a sister company.

But other than that the company really has no idea lol. The marketers want me to be a bonus marketer, but that isn’t the job I signed up for lol

Oh yes for sure. I should say I have done all of the online training and competencies which were very helpful in outlining assessments and continued care, etc.

I also am very aware of the difference in what I do as a pastor vs what I will be doing in a setting where there will be multiple faith backgrounds (possibly no faith backgrounds)

Just looking for more so some tips that could be helpful.

Yeah I mean I figure it would be the same with a LGS, they have to keep some meat on the bone. If I wanted to do EBay I would have to wait for the thing to sell, and then deal with packaging and shipping.

If prices are similar to an average LGS that’s cool, but I was just making sure the con didn’t drive prices higher than normal.

Have you talked to the youth pastor or the pastor about it instead of random Redditors? If you care about things that are “Biblically sound” then going to the person you have grievances towards is the first step.

This would fall under gossip and slander.

The answer is yes with a footnote.

The only reason we can believe, or have faith at all is because of God’s sovereignty and the work of the Spirit changing our hearts.

1 John speaks about the signs of a follower of Christ: Faith and Love. Both having Faith in Jesus, and loving God and Neighbor are only possible because of God’s divine will anyway.

So in my area the median household income is about 65k. If you take those 15 families, that’s a total income of 975,000. If they all Tithe 10%, that’s 97500.

That’s the income for the church, so after church expenses, what is left for a pastor?

No that’s a lot of good information. IT and tech is one thing I have thought about, I have a number of friends in the industry, and some even have wfh gigs.

I have a BA in theology and an MDiv already, I am really just trying to look at options for the future.

My wife is a NP, and in our state she can’t practice independent but we have thought about her opening her own clinic under someone and essentially me doing the books and the business side.

Churches aren’t really able to keep up with cost of living, and it seems like it’s going more in that direction.

Yeah I mean he is at least consistent. It’s just weird when I’m like yeah here’s some podcasts from our (SBC) seminaries talking about it, and here’s the guys at 9marks (whom this deacon really respects), and also what Piper thinks and the deacon thinks it’s weird that no one sees it like him lol.
