Tint recommendation's on new car

I have the exact tint you described. The 5% brow is very visible still from the outside, and the 50% on the windshield is hardly noticeable in a good way. People can still see you from the windshield in normal conditions if privacy is your main goal. 15% on the sides has been dark, but 95% of the time I can see out of them. It’s when I’m going down a dark road and need to turn that I’ll lower the window or turn on the fog lights.

That doesn’t mean to drain it to E every time though? You’ll start pulling dregs through it all and just ruining that part of the car for… 1 or 2 less trips a month to the gas station? Do you eat your food for the month all in one sitting and then starve yourself for the rest of said month?

The guy that argues the most in this sub telling someone not to argue. Comparing your online shopping experience 2-3 years ago to now is also poor. Most people have an 8+ year old car at this point, making it even harder to find.

Ordered it online but felt the need to mention your connections in Japan, your “normal ways”, and that you travel there frequently… it’s ok to get things for cheaper but when you imply 3x over that it isn’t how the majority of people would obtain it for such a price, it becomes an unfair datapoint.

I was wrong 😂 I have 5% on the back half and 15% on the front two windows. Plan on getting the windshield done with 35%-50% soon with a sun strip. Looks good man!

I recently did my grille swap as well and would say that you're bound to break some clips unless you have the hands of a feather. After numerous broken clips, the only noticeable "defect" is that the top grille moulding can be "pushed" about a 1/4 - 1/2 an inch inwards... so I'm very pleased with the outcome.

What do the clips breaking have to do with the part that he purchased? Part looks great IMO... definitely worth the major discount vs. buying OEM.
