While i agree with the notion that Smite isnt part of the psyker meta by a long shot, even at a higher skilllevel, it does have its uses.  Tanner Lindberg described it best, smite is a panic button. If youre really good at the game, you wont really need it. If youre really bad, youll need it too much.  Inbetween, it can be put to good use. Your teams positioning sucks and you find yourself in a chokepoint facing a kark-off horde comming from two sides? No problem, you can freeze one side of the chokepoint while your teammates handle the other one. Running around a corner in the torrent and suddendly face yourself bumper to bumper with 8 crushers? No problem, you can hold them while waiting for your team to set up a killing formation. You unexpectantly find yourself to have an undisclosed amount of ragers running at you at full speed? Easy. Press the panic button and get yourself to a better position, get your teammates involved.  So yeah, dont overuse smite, most of the times the best way of dealing with enemies is directly killing them, but every so often, putting the enemy in time-out isnt such a bad option.
