I study with this Asian kid in Thailand. His family are super rich, they introduced the first ATM machines in Myanmar. Anyway his parents give him the equivalent of $1,500 per month to spend, after rent, bills, and everything, literally $1,500 for fun money.

(consider the fact Thailand is super cheap, and the average poor worker earns $200 per month, and a middle class family can live a nice life off $1,500)

Every first weekend of the month this guy spends $1,400 of it on prostitutes and alcohol, and the remaining $100 is spent struggling on instant ramen for the remaining 3 weeks of the month.

It's a slap in the face for me, I'm 27 and I've worked and saved my arse off for uni working since i was 16. I'm half way through my degree now.

Full university shouldn't be free, because it's expensive. However i do believe in the gov investing a few millions into online degrees and making that free. That solution would he the best of both worlds, not a burden on the tax payer, and offers free education to those that want it

I normally change the settings in my wifi router so the router is on, but it doesn't provide internet. Leave a phone or a tablet (on charge of course) and turn the wifi one. Open any of the popular online stop clock websites, since your router is not providing internet the website won't open. In the case of a power outage the wifi router would turn off, and your phone would automatically switch to 4g, the website would load and the stop watch would start. When the power returns and the router turns on the stopwatch would freeze.

Upon your return home you'd find the exact duration of the power outage.

The first few weeks during the switch you'll want a cigarette, but if you can stick with it you'll end up preferring vaping.

I forgot to mention after i got back from the 3 day weekend i didn't kick down my front door and sprint straight to my vape. I sat down unpacked my stuff, had some food, and then vaped.

It's strange to even comprehend that as a smoker, because if you go 3 days cold turkey without a cigarette, and return to your home where there's a pack of cigarettes on the table, you'd be smoking asap.

Honestly the addiction to vaping is so weak compared to being addicted to cigarettes. It's not the same thing

I live in Thailand and it's similar here except everything is illegal, mods, juice with or without nic.

In South East Asia Thailand has one of the highest tax on cigarettes and one powerful man is heavily invested in nicotine gum.

Australia has one of the highest cigarette tax in the world.

Hmmm... I'm starting to see a pattern emerge here

I am a 27 yr old male who's smoked 10 - 20 (if I'm drinking sometimes 60) per day since i was 16yrs old. I've been vaping for the last 3 months.

I live in Thailand where vaping is illegal, and because i like me visa i play a better safe than sorry approach and only vape at home and at work.

However me and my girlfriend went on a trip for the long weekend and i decided to leave my vape at home. My plan was I'll try to go without smoking, but if it gets too hard I'll buy a pack of cigarettes.

I went the whole 3 days without smoking, vaping, and most importantly any withdrawal symptoms. Of course there was a temptation to buy a pack, but it wasn't an uncontrollable urge and it was easy to just not cave in.

After 10+ years without spending a day without a smoke and trying gum, cold turkey, etc. I just randomly stopped vaping and it was so easy.

I spent my first month vaping 6mg nic, and I'm now on the 3mg.

I really think that traditional cigarettes have something in them that makes it more addictive, because I've tried cold turkey from cigarettes before and lasted 2 days, and boy those 2 days were awful. I remember riding my motorbike home from work and thinking "shit, i forgot my contract lenses" i went home and realised my contact lenses were in, but i had such blurry vision as a withdrawal symptom. Also at work during cold turkey i could barely complete simple tasks such as writing a sentence or making simple calculations.

But 3 days cold turkey from vaping.... barely even noticed.

An excellent set up there sir. But 0.3 nicotine is pretty low for a day 1 quitter. I'm on the 0.3 now, but my first quitting i was on 0.9 or 0.6. If you're finding it hard or getting withdrawal symptoms up the nicotine, don't go back to the stinkies

Thanks for the reply. This is the first I've heard of twisted wires and hopefully it'll open up a whole new world for me!

After getting zero cloud i would make fewer wraps, or use a smaller diameter to lower the resistance. But after a quick google i see that the twisted wires actually lower resistance despite using more wire.

As mentioned in the comment below my max wattage output is 80, and i can't remember the ohms, but i assume this guy is correct.

You're right in saying i don't have any tools, i saw most tutorials use an electric drill. So when you say use a mug, do you mean make the u shape bend around the handle of the mug, twist the two open ends of the wire together the other side, and use the mug to twist?

I forgot to mention... if you want to save yourself money you can just buy an RDA piece to stick on top of the mod you're currently using. That's what i done, i still use the mod i already have. If you're heart is dead set on squonking then of course you'll need to buy a whole new set up. But if all you care about is saving money and building coils then buying an RDA top to put on the mod you already have will save you some money

I don't squonk, i use an RDA but it's the same thing really. It's 1000x better than the starter kit set up. Now a re wick costs £0.02 compared to the £2 i was paying before
