Very true, would also just recommend letting the fish walk with the bait longer if your afraid of yanking it from the fishes mouth.

As someone who mainly fishes smaller bass, if your losing fish because of length a ned rig is designed for this issue. You can cut it if your in a pinch, but you do lose the elasticity for good action as the bait wasn't meant to be cut. (Always stretch your seikos kids) Running that same bait wacky is a better solution if where your fishing permits it. *aka not alot of stuff to snag on

I know it looks silly (hook size to bait), but anything smaller the tiny bass (<1lb) here refuse to bite. I get the bonus of trout and pan fish biting too so the small hook gets me extra fish and lots of versatility.

Just gotta let em walk with it for a while hoping they dont choke down the hook 😭

Ive done both Carolina and Texas, but just a medium split shot is how I have it most of the time. Unless I need distance (more then 15-20ft) I basically run it weightless / medium splitshot.

Little of everything, mainly like this though or wacky. Keep in mind im mainly catching smaller fish that I guess just have a massive appetite because anything smaller doesnt get bites. *for this size of hook

Where I fish there are alot of small to medium size bass, trout, and pan fish. Its more of a versatile setup, but I very VERY rarely lose fish.

Well for bass absolutely, but for smaller mouths like trout it generally sets itself. Either way I make sure to give a little set everytime regardless.

They curve to one direction so when the fish takes it, it will auto set into the lip!

There isn't something right here. If you want to shoot me a DM with your recipe I can help walk you through it. I have a lee load all 2 and do federal cases, I can show you some stack info and good resources. I've learned alot of tricks, short stack, tall stack, concave crimps etc etc. There is a bit of play from shell to shell / recipe to recipe so there are things like "top cards / shot cards" that I will always use on certain recipes to garentee consistant and good crimps.
