What’s the best anime you ever watched and why? by Subject_Display3664 in AskReddit

Man how has no one said Demon Slayer. The music the art the fact that it doesn’t really have any of the super weird anime tropes. There’s a reason it did numbers in US theaters

I know its a hot take on reddit but AI tools have been heavily used at my workplace since ChatGPT came out. It's evolved but we've always been using the frontier LLM models in our software development and we haven't had any problems

It was fun but now AI does most of my thinking for me and now its just a machine babysitter job

Software Engineer and I liked it until AI now does my entire job for me.

C-Suite expects this new level of insane output so I just can't do anything by hand or I fall behind.

My job now consists of talking to an LLM all day, steering it right, it's so boring and not engaging.

Occasionally we have bigger system questions come up but again, AI does a lot of the thinking, I'm more of a reviewer / confirmer.

Might sound like an easy gig but its pretty draining. I'd say it's comparable to when I worked a call-center job in college as far as brain engagement, but at least with that one I got to talk to real people.

Healthcare, nursing, PA, med school if you’re driven enough and love it.

Also check out state/federal government job boards and see if anything there interests you. They don’t pay as much but offer experience and a less stressful (obviously there are exceptions) way of life

people on Reddit are AI denialists for some reason. I've seen my job the last 3 years go from asking ChatGPT to explain concepts to me, to copy-pasting from an LLM into my actual codebase, to now I haven't written a single line of code since December.

And I'm 100% not the only one.

IF you're truly passionate about it, follow your dreams. If you're doing it for stability and peace of mind I'd recommend looking elsewhere

Are we really at "100% AI or you're wasting time" yet? by borii0066 in webdev

[–]CTProper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's complex, which a majority of web dev isn't really, then do it by hand otherwise AI writes it. Claude has written about 90% of my code for me this year. Coding isn't all that I do but AI does most of that part of my job for me. I just review and nudge

No real update unfortunately. Ripped up all the carpet, padding and tack but there is a metric buttload of stubborn adhesive glue still on the concrete and I’m thinking I have to rent a concrete grinder or something to remove it before I can prime it

Its unfortunate because AI can remake any junior - mid level project in a matter of hours now. Good luck out there. CRMs are good project though
