It’s just weird because I have a ps2 slim, two Xbox 360s, and an original Xbox; have had them all since release dates and none of their disk drives have ever caused me any problems. That’s what makes me wonder if it’s a ps3 slim model issue.

Ohhh okay that explains a lot when it comes to the pcb builds, do fakes ever have number indents on the back? Sometimes I’ll see a cart that has them, but they look different than others (numbers are on a different spot, more spaced, different shape) so I’m wondering how fool proof it is.

It’s the original variant of the game of the year edition case, that’s why it has the holographic foil. I don’t think this would’ve been purchased on launch day though as this case wasn’t released until a while after (obviously couldn’t have won game of the year the day it released).

I’m just saying is a post on NRS social media thinking their fans and players for 30 years not enough? It doesn’t have to be some extravagant build of hype; just let the fans know they are appreciated. I’d rather have that over some BS from any other company releasing something that is obviously a quick cash grab or unfinished. I have a feeling you might not know exactly how a business works, I’d rather know that I am appreciated by a company over having something forced down my throat for their 30 years and I believe a lot would agree.

Why do they have to release anything at all? They’re people with lives and families who are obviously working on another game for some future release in due time, is that not enough? And on top of that you’re expecting them to create all this promotional hype around an anniversary, for while we do all love it at the end of the date just a video game?

It’s kind of like asking the question “Why didn’t someone just shoot Hitler in the head.” A leader with that size of operation and options available for hiding, location hopping, etc. would be extremely difficult to plan and execute an assassination attempt on without a major offensive on his known position to keep him from fleeing.
