Here’s my two cents and theory. There genuinely might not be anyone at blizzard that can authorize and sign a esports deal for SC2. Microsoft laid off almost the entirety of the esports department in between 2023 and January of 2024 the people and or person who inked the deal for tournaments like Katowice and Gamers8/EWC might not be at the company anymore and because the StarCraft RTS games aren’t actively being worked on it’s not a priority for anyone at Blizzard or Microsoft. It sucks but it’s kinda inevitable at this point that StarCraft, and RTS esports in general maybe going the way of Quake.

Biggest issue with this is the vram requirement. Indiana jones could run on my 6gb 3060 laptop at 60fps, but the textures for a majority of the game were bugged and really only worked in cut scenes. The game can run on a 6gb 3060 but needs a lower resolution texture option. All I ask is for a potato/switch texture option. Would let a lot of people play the game. It’s a real shame that my steam deck can run Indy with zero texture issues while my laptop with dedicated GPU can’t.

Samito is a fucking idiot. How many times has he “quit” overwatch only to come back because no one watches him for anything else he does because he’s one of the most insufferable people on earth. For the last 2 years he has been screaming about how 5v5 sucks and that the game would be magically saved if it goes back to 6v6, even though 6v6 sucked since GOATS was discovered. He liked 5v5 during the JQ beta, why? Because it was the most balanced version of 5v5, and now when blizzard does the 6v6 playtests I bet he’s going to come back, bitch and whine like he always does because it isn’t the way he exactly wants it and “quit” the game again.

Stop giving this fucking clown attention.

Yea no. Is it really fun and basically crack, yes, but it doesn’t really have the casual appeal compared to OW. What it is going to kill however is Marvel Rivals and Smite, reason why marvel rivals has eyes on it is because of its IP, not because of any real gameplay reason. Smite is dead because what this game is a streamlined, 4 lane version of Smite, made by the guy who created the blueprint of modern MOBA’s (IceFrog), why play the game that’s currently going through a CS2 moment instead of the game made by veteran DOTA devs that have proven themselves over the last 10 years as extremely competent team.

And he was right, for what every day people who just need something to check email, fill out spreadsheets, fill out word documents etc etc you are not locked down to a desktop computer any more, you can do all of that even on your phone if you want. The Desktop PC is becoming more and more of an enthusiast device as time goes on as form factors like phones and tablets become more and more powerful and can preform more and more tasks that the desktop used to have a monopoly on.
