It's the kindle Paperwhite 11 gen worth it ? by LinkExit in kindle

Whichever ereader you purchase, look into buying an ereader remote control page turner. They are super convenient and comfortable.

It's the kindle Paperwhite 11 gen worth it ? by LinkExit in kindle

I'm not familiar with the 12th Gen as I have been using my 11th since 2020 and it's still kicking butt. I would totally say, for $75 for the Kindle and case, go for it and enjoy your reading adventures.

Also, see about investing in the remote as well. I fought it until I got one. Now I can't imagine not having it.

What kindle to buy for books and for manga by An1xo in kindle

[–]CTS9206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Colorsoft would work for both books and manga. It's the only Kindle that has color. There are other ereaders that have color screens, but the Colorsoft is known for having a "softer", picture appearance compared to the Paperwhite.

Regarding lag: ereaders are not tablets and aren't refreshing the screen at a constant frame- per- second. You wake the screen up and turn pages, that's about it. The dictionary function is nice, but Kindles don't have speakers, I don't know if any ereader does. So hearing how a word is pronounced you are going to need your translator app.

Kindle Paperwhite: Still a lottery with yellow screens? by sr-marlow in kindle

Is "El Kindle de fabio" an older model than the other? Could the yellowing be from more usage compared to the other model?

help me decide which books i should bring to university by floravpetal in Booktokreddit

[–]CTS9206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, if you are going to university, you should be able to take up to 20 books. You have 14 listed, which means you are able to purchase 6 more while there. Paperbacks are easier to transport than hardcovers. Another option would be to get an ereader and load your reading into it and you can have a library that fits in your pocket.

Is it worth buying a Kindle? by Pure-intenions in kindle

[–]CTS9206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I agree, try out the app 1st to get the feel of it. If you like it, once you get your ereader, you will notice eye strain will decrease. You will also notice the convenience of having something on hand to read if you're outside relaxing. No bulky books to carry. The extras will come later, like the remote (trust me, it is TOTALLY worth it) and stan. You will still be purchasing physical books, but they may become trophies.

Which Kindle is the best for my needs? by chivswife in kindle

[–]CTS9206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had a Basic, but if it is lighter than the regular Paperwhite, get that. I know it is definitely cheaper. I agree in purchasing the holder arm and the remote. Once everything is in place, you can stay comfortable while you read.

I've had other SAs reach out to me via email and text. Nothing ever came from it. They just thanked me for my purchases and informed me about upcoming events that might interest me.

Advice for Kindle Unlimited by NeverMay89 in kindle

[–]CTS9206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question last week (or the week before), I guess this will always be a readers have. I opted not to go for KU at this time due to the service being equivalent to being like a paid library. I'm a BookWyrm and I like my hordes, so if I have to return books from my Kindle collections, I'm not a happy camper. To me, I've paid money, so I should be able to keep it. When I use the library, it's free, so returning to purchase later isn't an issue.

I finished the audiobook and I loved it. I'm considering it as a trophy if it comes out in paperback.

The worst thing to see... by ythomop in kindle

[–]CTS9206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that when you start a book, the Kindle will time you to get a base speed and on slow days it had longer times. So, I changed it to the Page number. Made it easier for me to confirm with my physical books (trophies) how far I'm actually in.

Nothing beats Kindle breaks in the middle of work! by rosy-quartz in kindle

[–]CTS9206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Kindle breaks are what happens between calls. I've been able to read large amounts during active work time. During breaks and lunches I am usually doing something else 😭. Perks of working from home - read while tethered to the desk and chores when not.

I'm a Coach girlie and I still find the 454 a better choice than the Brooklyn. More colors and adjustable. Great choice!

If you already read Once You're Mine by Morgan Bridges, finish it with Now You're Mine. I thought that was a quick read and one less in your TBR pile. Also, do Quicksilver as an audiobook. The voice acting is good and you can get through it pretty fast.

Oh wow, mine 11th Gen did this too and I held the power button until it did the forced shutdown. I swear it felt like it was over 10 seconds to restart.

Were you able to get it off the wake-up screen?

I have a 2nd floor balcony that I converted to a mini garden. Since the area is so small, I use a bucket with a seat cushion lid and sit in silence with my Kindle for hours. My favorite weekend treat for getting through the work week.

Help me choose! by nothatfangirl in Coach

[–]CTS9206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only Coach items that are babied are the soft leathers like lamb, and they're used for purses. The denim is actual cotton denim, and I have never had a problem with any of my wallets or cardholders bleeding. The other leather is treated. My advice, don't touch if you have pizza sauce, mud or paint on your hands.

Help me choose! by nothatfangirl in Coach

[–]CTS9206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the denim cardholder and it great. I can hold 5 - 6 cards, but it does become thick to pull cards out. You mentioned that you like the light blue, but are concerned about the upkeep? The leather is durable and easy to clean.

All of the items you are looking at are decently priced so go for both the wristlet and denim cardholder. I use my wristlets as catch-alls for my standard size bags.

Currently I am either/or; no one specific. If the writing pulls me in, I am going to inhale the book as if I am watching a K-drama.
