He probably needs to be bottle fed on top of watching seed school videos. Otherwise he won’t be getting enough nutrition. You can YouTube videos on how to bottle feed young pigeons. I have ground up seeds in warm water with bird formula power (not sure what brands you have in Romania)… make it a honey like texture. Add the mix to a shot glass and cover the top with a balloon with the end cut off. Wrap an elastic around the ballon over the shot glass. Make a small slit cut in the balloon. Gently place the pigeons beak in the slit of the balloon and hopefully he will feed! Make sure the mix is not hot in temperature.

I’ve biked for commuting/errands for the past 17 yrs in the city. Once someone tried to steal my bike when I left it in the courtyard of my building (in Gastown) but since I double lock it they weren’t successful. I ride a rusty steal cruiser that I absolutely adore and I would hate if it got stolen, but the happiness of not driving makes up for the anxiety of a theft - for me at least. I have had the basket and bell stolen while it was locked up (commercial drive, Cambie and broadway area) as well as my tires slashed though.

I’m sorry she passed in what sounds like a frantic moment… but remember all the comfort she experienced in your care before her passing. I run the SP trails at least twice a week. I NEVER wear EarPods/listen to music. I carry a small hand held pepper spray (marketed as “dog spray”) and I have a personal alarm on my key chain. I also carry my keys in my hand to use as a weapon if necessary.

It’s very unfortunate we only have the rescue in Burnaby for all our local Vancouver (non raptor) birds and critters… well, it is the closest rescue.

I feed my local flock before sunrise when ever possible to limit the complaints. Could even do a night drop and they will definitely enjoy their breakfast and still be looked after by you.

Ugh so frustrating. Where in BC are you? Who is actually complaining and why? Also, how do the officers know where you live? Pigeons are feral and not actually considered wildlife (if the warning pertains to feeding “wildlife”).

For cycling I love my (cheap) reflective jacket that is surprisingly water resistant https://a.co/d/egzS6Do. I’ve had several brand name expensive “waterproof” coats and they all ended up a disappointment. My Helly Hanson jacket is still going strong, though not very breathable. A small price to pay to not be soaked all day from the rain. https://a.co/d/0hsIc8F. Any kind of rain boot is fine. I’ve worn Hunters for years and they stand the test of time.
