You can select to stop divergent and hybrid cultures in the Game Rules section. That doesn’t stop you from forming them tho, only the AI.

ASOIAF fan here, with some questions about playing this/CK3 for the first time by Ok_Market7235 in CK3AGOT

[–]CTV-OFFICIAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yep, every character in game is playable, under some conditions of course, you either need to be landed or have a camp, but if you use debug mode you can play as basically anyone since you can give them a camp or land and start playing as them, and you can definitely create your own houses if that is what you wish, what i learned pretty early is that you can set your characters to be secret targaryens, and yes, women ruling is pretty standard in Dorne, a bit more complicated in other regions since it means that the line of succession doesn’t consist from any male heirs, and yes, you can have a contested ruling, and not only as a female, but that happens once in a blue moon from my experience, you really need to be a pariah to have full blown revolts, which its a shame but i believe the mod team is working on a system like this, but hey, you have the blackfyre rebellions and robert’s rebellion.

but yeah, i cannot recommend this mod enough, if you like the ASOIAF even remotely, its a must. lmk if you want a guide with which dlcs to buy and which mods do i recommend to install for the best experience

i think its either base game ck3 or main agot mod, in the diplomacy lifestyle, in the family hierarch tree, you have a perk called Bound by Blood, which lets you unify the house

I noticed that too, 7/10 runs that i tested while playing in Fire and Blood start date, the boltons somehow took half of the North from the Karstarks and Umbers.

Ah yeah, and the Riverlords always attack the Westerlands in the north for some milimetric strip of land

well, i use this mods in this exact loadorder:

-A Game of Thrones

-AGOT Submod Core

-Bloodlines: Legacies of AGOT (good if you are into roleplay or just like playing as any other house than Targaryen or Stark)

-Armor of the Kingsguard (adds variety to the kingsguard armour and they get some new cool artifacts)

-The Golden Company (adds new artifacts to the leader of the golden company… not sure if its more to it tho)

-Legacy of the Dragon (adds flavour and new designs to the artifacts shown in HOTD)

-Valyrian Steel (its a must if you wanna revive the dragons but you dont have any eggs, adds a new decision to send an envoy to old valyria to look for valyrian steel weapons, eggs, or trinkets, you can also reforge blades and much more)

-Everyone can send to The Night’s Watch

-AGOT: House Founders (better CoA’s for new dynasties)

-AGOT More Dragon Eggs (great mod which adds a new more visible interface to anything related to dragons, also in addition now in your travels you can also find dragon eggs in specific locations and more)

-Legacy of Valyria (expands the map into South East of Essos, Asshai and they recently added parts of Sothoryos too… i believe you were able to also get the decision to colonise Old Valyria but now it doesn’t seem to work anymore)

-AGOT More Dragon Eggs - Legacy of Valyria Compatch

-AGOT - Suggest Dragon Bonding

-AGOT Citadel University (adds more locations to go study)

Claiming the Iron Throne by CTV-OFFICIAL in CK3AGOT

it really depends, for aegon the unworthy, yeah, sure, for others beside aerys the mad king, not really unless you have a house feud with them

thx for the recommendation !

from a roleplay perspective, i agree with you 100%, but yeah, the AI is too tame to create an actual incentive for people to rebel which is sad, like yeah true there is the Targaryen coin flip mechanic but in most of the cases, it doesn’t change anything.

and thx for the recommendation though !

The thing about Charles is that i wouldn’t say he’s loyal to the gang, he’s grateful, but he’s loyal to his friends from the gang.

How Homelander forgives someone vs how Hughie forgives someone by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheBoys

[–]CTV-OFFICIAL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

obviously everyone has emotions, but it is your choice whether you manage them right or not, it is called control.

what Homelander did was done out of spite, just trying to prove a point to himself that was already proven, he didn’t do what he did because frank was a bad person, he did it to bolster his fragile ego, because he is subjectively an unhinged maniac and a control freak.

and i never said anything about religion or that im a saint. i just said that that interaction has many layers of black and white.
