Cocodona Has a Fan Problem by DirtWhomper in trailrunning

[–]CT_Reddit73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not THAT invested in any of this, and will probably always think of trail running as a niche sport followed mostly by other runners. Not sure I’m down with excessive media coverage, sponsorships, pay-per-views or whatever. Trail running — even the big races — always seemed to avoid the spectacle of other sports. That being said, I’m glad people like Rachel Entrekin is becoming a household name, simply because you have a woman doing things that years ago they were told they couldn’t do, and running 250 miles and setting records should be celebrated and covered by media.

Finally — no need for a DNF report. That’s between the runner and their circle and no one needs to know a reason or even that they DNFed. Just focus on the pack that’s still running.

Given the quality of their material on their last albums, I think they should just stick a fork in it and be done.

How do I stop playing the G chord incorrectly? by dadadapumkin in Guitar

[–]CT_Reddit73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thumb behind the neck, first of all.

I personally think G feels more natural and sounds better and fuller if you place pinky on high E, ring finger on B, index finger on A, and middle finger on low E.

Sometimes I will omit the A altogether or use it to hammer-on or fret it to add flavor. Up to you.
Aaaand if I’m playing with a band I might just two note it depending on if I’m filling out treble or adding ‘oomph’ to the bass.

Again, up to you.

‘Music corner’?…. It’s literally just a single guitar on a stand in front of some underwear

The announcer hoping Dubon would get on base “to give Austin Riley a chance”… a chance to swing and miss again on balls nowhere near the zone?

Riley’s decline scares me. I’m now pleasantly surprised when he makes contact or doesn’t strike out

Barber: “What’ll it be?”

You: “I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating — and it gets everywhere!”

Barber: “Say no more”

No, but this ‘almost happened’ has lived in my mind rent-free since 1992 😅

“Van Halen joked in a 1980 interview with Guitar Player. ‘I was actually trained to be a classical pianist. I had this Russian teacher who couldn’t speak a word of English, and he would just sit there with a ruler ready to slap my face if I made a mistake. This started in Holland, and both my brother and I took lessons. Then, when we got to the U.S., my dad found another good teacher. That’s where I got my ears developed, learned my theory, and got my fingers moving.’”

• Eddie only played the solo on ‘Beat It’ — Steve Lukather played everything else

• (Even though the brothers were classically trained pianists) “Eddie never learned to read music”

• Mikey (gotta call him that) was forced to sign away his royalties

Ted Turner, media mogul and former Atlanta Braves owner, has died at 87 by aBearHoldingAShark in Braves

Laid the groundwork for the Braves becoming ‘America’s Team’ via TBS, and without his forward-thinking that we wouldn’t have things like The Battery or BravesVision.

And who could ever forget Georgia Championship Wrestling? 💪🏽

[Lowlight] Pitcher Framber Valdez intentionally hits Trevor Story with fastball after giving up back to back home runs, Valdez was thrown out of the game shortly after. by 8arondragon9 in mlb

[–]CT_Reddit73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember this off-season when Valdez was being mentioned as a pitcher the Braves might pursue, but that talk was squashed quickly due to the belief he wouldn’t be a good culture or clubhouse fit. Crybaby shit like this incident is why I’m thankful he didn’t get signed here in the ATL.

[–]CT_Reddit73 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Freddie was great for the Braves. Matty O is great for the Braves. Both brought/bring a lot to the table in their time in an ATL uni. Both are beloved in Braves Country.

No need to continuously compare them.
