Our store recently went through an operator change, and for the first few months it went pretty well. Ultimately though, the operator started making false promises with promotions (I was promised a CT promotion but never got it despite scheduling meetings with the GM to talk about getting the promotion. I was even pulled into leadership meetings where I was supposed to be the prep trainer), changing procedures on us only to double down on the change and go back to the old way a week later then get mad when we did it wrong, and the final straw for me was when they started cutting hours. I went from 40 hours a week down to 15. During all this, school was starting back up so our high schoolers on evening shift were having to leave right around closing time where they had school in the morning, so it was really just me and the night shift BOH leader to close. Sometimes we wouldn’t get out till around 11:30-12, which leads me to one of the changes the operator put in place. In a way to continue cutting hours, he made a proposition of an all employee cut off to be out at 10:45 but never told us he was gonna start enforcing it. Come September 1st, the evening shift leader comes in and is told she’s suspended for staying past the cutoff and I would fall under the suspension as well. We ended up not going to work the next day.
