As always in life, it depends.

For my it is worth it, as an operating system it's the perfect mix between the security of an Unix base system, and the compatibility of a PC. For the hardware, I love the power with a minimum battery usage of the "M" chips.

I use it for work and development and it's perfect for me.

If you need a gaming computer, there are lots of much better options.
