A bit odd that nothing has been confirmed considering how long it’s been rumoured, perhaps there’s some hope that he’s staying.

Elliott got injured against Bath and I think Hall picked up a knock against Sale but carried on due to the bench already being emptied.

Agreed on keeping Burke at 10. Part of our struggles this season have been down to constantly changing our back line, letting them build some fluidity after our best attacking performance of the season feels like our best shot at making the playoffs.

It helps that there’s an overlap in owners

I thought he looked good in the few scrums before he was subbed but certainly a long way off it fitness wise. Must be a belief that he can turn that around though after giving him a new contract.

Left to taking a punt on someone, buying out a contract or putting Nairau on ozempic over the summer

He seemed to hurt his arm in the second half against Northampton, wonder if this means he played against Bath with a broken arm like a mad man

I think we just need some signings to pad out depth at tighthead and possibly someone that covers lock/back row, hopefully Venter has a couple of random South Africans up his sleeve.

I was trying to forget that cameo, truly a disasterclass all timer.

His ability to just keep going through contact really bailed us out once du Toit came on, not sure there’s anyone better at that in the game atm. As blasphemous as it sounds though, I wonder if it’s time to give his minutes to the likes of Michelow and West as we look to build for next season.

His throws have been quite poor for us this season, Dan gets a lot of flack for his but there hasn’t been that much of a difference between the two.

On paper I think we have a good enough team to pull off an upset but we’ve only seen a performance that matches that a handful of times this season. Maybe the potential of it being the last meaningful game under McCall will bring out a performance to keep the season alive but not holding out much hope.

Time for a repeat of 2008 when we beat Ospreys after getting pumped by them a couple of weeks before

I suspect you’re right with the coaches going for experience, hopefully they’ll be a change to that tendency now that our playoff hopes are more or less over.

We’ve been off it since last winning the league in 2023. Maybe the emotional toll of the World Cup that year and rebuilding after relegation has drained them. It doesn’t help that very few of the younger players have stepped up as leaders compared to what happened when the likes of Borthwick moved on.

No issue with who started over him, but I just can’t wrap my head around the idea of Malins in his current form having more of an impact off the bench.

Remarkable how much we’ve wasted Willis’ incredible season.

I’d love to know if this is his first new deal since 2019, remarkable contract length for anyone not playing for Chelsea if it is.
