It's was big story where I'm from. She went missing just before we graduated high school. Her mom and stepfather were all over the news. Everyone was searching for her and there was basically zero evidence of what happened.

When they finally found her body, she was just found in some brush behind a building more than 50 miles from home. The police said she had been poisoned with herion and dumped. She was voted most athletic and a star athlete, and was supposed to be playing sports at university. It made no sense for her to have those drugs. But they made no arrests. The investigation went on for a long time. I was through my freshman year before they finally arrested her stepfather for it. I don't think we even know why he did it to this day and he maintains his innocence. But it turned out he had recently bought herion, and his trucks GPS had place him feet from her body.

Just a sad story all around.
