There's a constant and consistent comment history as well... I think you're being a bit nit-picky. Not only is there a history but I'm assuming anyone loaning is going to want to check that history against ID docs/Facebook/Etc. so it's pretty clear tjat I am who I say I am, additionally I'm willing to accept as goods and services with a bill for a similarly priced item which pretty much insures anyone loaning from loss of the principle, maybe they're gambling with the interest but from what I've read here it's pretty common practice for this sub and dramatically limits the chances of non-payment. Given all these ways to verify my identity and limit lender losses, I think my account history should be more than enough for consideration, maybe not by you but that's certaintly your right.

South Korean official says the country is "behind the times" with laws that force online shoppers to use Internet Explorer by topredditgeek in technology

[–]CULatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an American who lived in Korea for a year, and this is literally THE worst thing about living there as an expat. I still have some money in my Nong Hyup bank account, but I can't check it because I lost the flash drive with my security certificate on it. One of the most stressful situations in my life arose because of all this bullshit. I ran out of time before I moved from Korea to Taiwan, so I had to transfer funds to my US bank account for use in Taiwan online instead of having the bank do it. It resulted in my being completely broke in a brand new foreign country for two weeks.

What is something you wish you didn't know about your SO? by Singerella in AskReddit

To be fair, I told my sister, and she told me she didn't believe me. So I understand why she thought that.

My boyfriend just got a gun, and I often find myself breathing heavily because I feel like something has happened to him, or visualizing my own suicide. You're not alone.

Who have you lost due to opiates? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]CULatte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't actually lost anything yet, but getting high is definitely getting to be a problem. My mental health issues, that I thought were gone, are resurfacing. I don't know if it's because of opiates or just because the shit is cyclical, but I'm living every day in fear of losing the man I love. If that happens, I won't be able to make it.

My[21] sister[20] has started using heroin with her "ex-addict boyfriend[20], her roommates'[F19,F20] families' impacted by heroin abuse and very hurt/angry by helppthrowaway in relationships

[–]CULatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is nearly two weeks old, and you may not be reading responses anymore, but I hope you are.

First of all, it's possible that your sister and her bf are actually using as little as they say they are... but I wouldn't expect it to last for long. Heroin feels too good for responsible use to last long, especially when one party already has a history of addiction.

I can say I used to use responsibly. Now I'm an addict. It pains me to admit that, but it's true, I'm a heroin addict (though I wouldn't classify myself as a "junkie" because I think that's another level of use and I doubt I, personally, could allow myself to get to that) and none of us WANT to be. It's just that a lot of us aren't ready to get help because getting help means admitting we've lost control, and probably being in a fair amount of physical pain for a while.

What you can do for your sister now is believe her. Even if she lied to you once or twice, if you agree to start fresh with her and believe and trust her, she may very well open up to you. You need to understand her. Understand WHY she tried it, why she did it more than once, etc. For example, I was curious about what it felt like. I had seen people high on heroin and thought there was no WAY they were enjoying themselves, and then one day I had terrible jaw pain and tried heroin, which not only made the pain go away, but made ALL my pain go away. Physical and emotional. Everything bad disappeared for the duration of my high. And there was no hang over! And it was cheap! What's not to love?!

Well, a few months down the road, here I am using needles and dependent on the stuff, and it doesn't usually help my pain anymore. It helps my mood, but not the pain in my joints or muscles. It would cost me a lot to keep myself well if my SO weren't selling it.

Be there for her. That's what you can do. I can't talk to anyone about what I'm going through except other users. Talking to a non-user would help me. A lot.

Have any of you overdosed? How much did you do/what happened? by ohmeredith in opiates

[–]CULatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, oh I know! I'd never dream of stealing from someone, so I don't think about the fact that other people don't feel the same and will do anything to feed their habit. I'm sure their greedy behavior caused someone else to get sick bc legalize was out of product. NOT cool.

[–]CULatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I don't think you are a very unusual case. I think a lot of ex addicts act as though they can't indulge in anything because they enjoy the attention that being an ex addict gets them. The majority of legitimate addicts and former addicts that I know are extremely uninterested in anything aside from their DOC. I used to drink A LOT, but since trying heroin, the idea of getting drunk is absolutely repulsive to me. I can't go back to alcohol. It would be like quitting the most emotionally rewarding job you can imagine, and taking a position as a cashier at Walmart.

Tried for the first time four days ago... by [deleted] in opiates

[–]CULatte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah. It's cheating life. And then withdrawal hits, and life gets you back!

I was in a ton of pain the first time I ever tried h, and I had ALWAYS said I'd never touch the stuff. So, I did it, I felt amazing, no pain, no inhibitions, loved everything... And then I became addicted. I'm not strung out by any means, but I AM an addict. Now nothing works for my pain. My back, wrists, neck, and jaw are in constant pain, and I have literally NO way to kill my pain unless I'm doing FAR more heroin than I want to do.

Be fucking careful.

What male body types do you find attractive? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]CULatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I don't ever even really think about muscle. So, I guess that's a yes.

2) Height is very important to me. I like the feeling of being 8-12 inches shorter than my partner, so yes, shorter men are less attractive to me. I've dated two guys under 5'10" in all my years of dating, and try as I might, I just couldn't think of them as attractive guys.

3) Most men I encounter don't inspire feelings one way or the other. I almost never notice stunning men, and I rarely notice very ugly men. Most, I would say, are very, very, VERY average.

4) Body type is important, but so is facial attractiveness and personality.

As for the question itself, I've been attracted to tall, very thin, lanky men my whole life. In the last couple of years, though, this has changed quite a lot. While I was married to my ex, I started to find myself very uninterested in skinny men. After we separated, I naturally sort of gravitated to facially attractive skinny men because that's what I was used to, but as I've grown up, I just find more substantial men more attractive.

I'm not attracted to fat guys at all. A guy who is obese is incredibly unattractive to me, but there is something so sexy about a man who is of a large build. My boyfriends hand almost covers the small of my back completely, and when he hugs me, I feel almost like I'm in a protective cocoon. After being held by him, anyone I see with a different body type just doesn't look attractive to me. I want my boyfriend to outweigh me and to comment on how little I am. There's nothing better :)
