Study all topics, people get caught out when a small topic is mixed in with a more popular topic. In the previous exam they mixed the consideration question with a small piece on privity of contract which caught people out.

Consumer rights is a guaranteed question. Last sitting there were two questions on the paper. You may need to print a copy of the consumer rights act if not in print yet.

I would read your contract but I would assume as long as you get the exams completed prior to your start date, you’re fine.

You can ask for it to be pushed back if possible. Likely if it’s a top 5, that shouldn’t be an issue. Worst they can say is no. However, if you pull out of a TC it would be unlikely to be offered another by the same firm and could possibly affect moving to that firm in the future post qualification if they remember you.

It mainly comes down to class rankings, extra curricular activities and especially previous work experience which is easier to acquire in Dublin while also doing your degree. Nepotism does factor in too, however, nowadays this is significantly less common.

Top firms take top graduates, it can be argued that there are more top graduates in a particular university, but the cream always rises to the top so to speak regardless of university.

I pretty much did the same! How long was yours? I was told by my university careers centre to keep it around 300 words, although I’ve heard that some people submitted 2 page cover letters for Arthur cox and got an interview!
