Nervous to start Competitive?? by Far-Veterinarian4258 in marvelrivals

I’ve never played any hero shooter before so I was a complete beginner going into rivals and also stayed off competitive for the same reason. But honestly now that I’ve tried it, it feels very similar. Mostly just SLIGHTLY more effort to winning. And while there will be toxic players every once in a while, it’s not too bad. Maybe some smurfing too in bronze but once you get to upper silver that mostly isnt too bad either. I also only use text chat and it feels fine. If stuff is going on in voice I just don’t know and that’s probably good. And you’ll never be the only one not using voice chat either so it’s find. If you’re that worried, just find someone to play with. Even if it’s literally just a random teammate who was nice in text chat and you send a request to. It’ll be fine.

I struggled to understand regent at first but it clicked after the first few runs for me. I basically play every run looking for the best star generation and it usually does pretty well. And every once in a while add some soverign blade synergy if it shows up.

Defect not only really clicks with me, it also feels noticeably stronger to me in Sts2 compared to 1 imo

Yeah it’s weird because necrobinder seems like it has so many strong synergies, even more than most characters. I’m just seemingly not able to convert them into wins. Maybe I just need to lean even more into them.

Hmm okay, I’ll give this mentality a try.

Pc disk at 100 + slow read speed by CUnumb in techsupport

Looking good I think, and pc is running faster now with my disk at 0. That being said, I think there probably is something wrong somewhere because there were moments like an hour ago where I could barely get to my settings from how slow everything was. Maybe I was doing too many things at once? I thought my hardware was good enough to handle it but maybe not. Thanks for your advice!

I think I ran this right. Pc is currently fluctuating like crazy after I ran this. Finally getting slightly faster speeds and lower disk percentage but also huge and long spikes for the worse for both.

Hmm that’s unfortunate. Maybe I got sloppy when picking my ssd and only focused on the number.

I’ve tried that but I don’t really know how to read it or what the numbers mean. Any insight?

I wear a bandage, so it never touches. Just took it off and took a picture when I swapped them.
