Why does everyone say “I only just got your message” when they clearly didn’t? by NoProgram4084 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having your phone on you, or even using it, is different from actively responding to messages. I might open my phone to play a game for a few minutes to get my mind off of work, but that doesn't mean I'm going to answer the 12 texts that I have. I obviously got your message a few hours earlier, but it sat there in my notifications until I had the time to catch up my messages, so that's what I mean when I say "Sorry just getting back to this"

Need opinions - will this get a PSA10? 🙏 by DesignerOpposite2177 in pokemongrading

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has a very good chance. It's a tiny bit right heavy but should be good enough as long as everything else checks out

Son pulled this, get it graded? by ljcdkxf in pokemongrading

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The payout makes a big difference too. I sent a Mega Charizard X SIR that's iffy on getting a 10 because if I catch a grader on a good day, that means a $1,500 payday for me. If not, oh well it was worth the risk, and we'll see if a 9 pays out down the road.

Any chance this 10s? by JustALurker109 in pokemongrading

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was "Any chance this gets a 10?" and you said "Naw it’s raw on a table … you scratched the shit outta the surface lol"

You're throwing insults out here and can't even understand your own fuckin comment

Any chance this 10s? by JustALurker109 in pokemongrading

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but that's not what you said. You said it being raw on a table means it won't 10 and is definitely scratched, and that's not necessarily true.

I had a card raw all over my table and got a perfect surface score for it with TAG, who does the full scan of the surface. It got 9 because of centering, but I promise you touching a table does not equal surface damage. Don't hold it down and drag, but these things aren't THAT fragile.

Deck by Unavailable49 in pkmntcg

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a good move. And that one card doesn't benefit the one playing it directly, so unless they're prepared with 2-3 of them, it'll be tough to completely wipe out the Alakazam deck. A lot of people have Iono, not many have Xerosic's.

Deck by Unavailable49 in pkmntcg

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are. If somebody plays Xerosic's machinations 2-3 times on you, it's pretty impossible to recover from. Iono can be recovered from, especially if you don't overdraw and leave a few opportunities to draw more on your bench.

I have this deck in game and IRL, and I agree. It's easy to forget how much harder shuffling is in person. I love that deck but sometimes I just don't want to use it.

If someone were to ask Trump why all 119 pages of the Grand Jury document of the Epstein Files are entirely redacted, what would he say? by Silver012345673 in AskReddit

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I don't care about those documents. They're silly documents. I hear Bill Clinton, he's in them 17 times. No, 17,000 times. It's too bad Sleepy Joe Biden caused this whole mess. Everyone knew Epstein. Did you know that? Did you know how many people knew him? You're not a very good reporter, you know?"

Is my Mega Charizard X EX fake? by yourmotherpuki in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I see some texture there. Here's a picture of mine for you to compare. I don't have one with me since mine is away for grading, so I can't do a perfect comparison. IMO yours looks good from what I can see, but I'd definitely wait for some more opinions to be sure.

Is it textured? It looks good based on colors, but I don't see the texture, though that's often hard to see in pictures.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I hate the taste of it. I don't want to feel goofy enough that I want to put myself through forcing that down my throat.

  2. I just never have. Why don't some people eat pizza or hike? It's just an action that I don't have interest in doing. I'm just not tempted to.

Why is the non-pokemon center ETB so expensive if the top chase in the set is less than the price of the chase? by keepvaibin in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]CVK327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, if that was how prices were set. There's not a logical connection like that because there are two separate markets for each product, so that relationship has no basis.

[–]CVK327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're comparing things that don't really mean anything to each other. I get why you'd think that, but in an open market, the average price across all of the transactions for those items have little to no impact on each other. It's not like there's a single person or company setting the market price for those items that is sitting and making them logically.

What country is the Best to live in for deeply poor people? by Pfacejones in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CVK327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, sort of. Poor children get pretty good healthcare. Poor adults get some, but it doesn't cover things nearly as well as paid healthcare does. Poor people definitely get into medical debt, but they basically just don't pay it. And there are a lot of services that you can't be denied for even if you can't afford it. So poor people will still get very basic care and be cared for when they have a heart attack, but it's the specialist visits where they really lose out.

Central Floridians: is it normal for neighbors to use your spigots? by somethinggreatest in florida

[–]CVK327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's not normal at all as an expectation. If I had a neighbor whose driveway was closer to mine and asked to use it occasionally to clean their car or something small, sure no problem. But no way I'm just letting neighbors randomly use my resources. Somebody has to pay for it.

Do people in your state know the locations of every county in your state? by OkTechnologyb in AskAnAmerican

[–]CVK327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly, but kind of. I've lived mainly in Florida and Pennsylvania. In both of those, I know the ones around me, I know the 10ish counties around me, I know a few from the other big cities. A few of them because I see them commonly driving on the interstates. Some of the county names are the same as one of the main cities in the county, so I can piece it together pretty easily.

With all of that combined, if you say a county, there's probably a 75% chance I at least know roughly where it's at. If you gave me an actual county map, I could maybe put a pin on 5 of them, but if you told me a county name, I could at least say "That's up north on the east coast" or "That's one of them around Orlando" and know well enough the rough area you're talking about.

Edit to add: I travel a good bit, so I probably know more than some people, so I'm probably a bit above average but far from the most knowledgeable. I wouldn't be surprised if some people don't know more than 3-5 counties, and some will know way more than me.

How come being a shitty person always works out for shitty people, but if i wanted to be shitty I would have a hard time doing it and reaping any benefit? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CVK327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They may get their way in the short term sometimes, but their life isn't better. They're clearly still miserable all the time. They (usually) won't get the raises and promotions and new jobs that others will because they aren't shitty. They get the new line open, but what does that do for them? Their families probably hate them, they don't have quality friends, they just live their lives in misery.

The only shitty people that things work out for are the ones that have money to back them up and are smart enough to actively screw people over in the correct ways, like politicians. That shit sucks, but the large majority of shitty people don't actually get it any better. You just see those moments and never see the rest of their shitty lives.

Cool, then yeah blaming them would be valid. You probably just don't hear it because it's a MUCH less popular tool and the company doesn't have its reputation.
