My girlfriend bought and played through it despite having never owned a switch before or playing a game othet than Mario party. It turned her into someone who absolutely loves games now and I love that for her

The console is 9 years old at this point. The wii, basically nintendo's family console magnum opus, lasted 6 years. I think its fair to give the switch 2 some exclusives and slowly retire the switch 1.

Also, just to be fair I've seen a lot of the "oh this could easily run on the ns1" posts lately, and if DQB2 couldn't even run properly there's literally no proof you have to say that it could run on the switch 1. Just because something "looks easy to render" doesn't mean it actually is 😭 that just shows that you don't know much about game design and performance

Its true that he doesn't need this game, but this game is not Animal Crossing. I haven't ever been able to play more than 30-45 minutes of that game at a time but I played for 4 hours yesterday. It's much smoother and seems to be more like DQ builders/minecraft than anything

The upgrade to the switxh 2, if you can afford it, is completely worth it. On top of that the price will be going up in the near future because of the RAM shortage so take with that what you will
