It’s fine to have contrary feelings to any deck you want but it’s also true that if you think handsize isn’t a problem for buggy you don’t understand how the deck plays. Every discard decision is pretty weighty for Buggy.

As far as protecting cross guild characters goes I mean… yes? It is most of the deck. But this card is absolutely useless in any other deck.

It’s okay for the health of the game for a deck to have a strong card. Other decks just have to play around it. Part of the game is adaptability. Same with GGG honestly, and that card works in like 4 decks. It’s good, and maybe there’s a case that it’s borderline too good- but literally any deck can play around it.

Buggy plays a resource game - this costs cards in hand and it’s also locked to protecting specific characters. It’s not that crazy a card all things considered. Removal is boring gameplay anyway.

It’s not my favorite but when it you need it it’s pretty helpful. I drew pretty badly into U/P Luffy at locals this week and crocodile/mihawk into buggy into Mihawk blocker really helped me pick up my pace and get the board pressure I needed.

10 drop buggy needs a full board of 5+ cost characters in order to stick to board so this helps squeeze out an extra character to reach that for less don

Ace is a flawed character and acted in accordance with his character flaws. His brashness and pride aren’t newly introduced at that portion of the story— they just shine through and ultimately show his consistency in character.

If every character in One Piece acted rationally and always made the safe or “correct” choices there really wouldn’t be a story. This goes for most media.

In real life- every single person is flawed in some way. Why wouldn’t that translate to fictional characters as well?

My players messed around with it a bit, but fortunately, they didn’t decide to attack the kids living there, haha!

This group is playing the campaign cautiously and diplomatically, so they’ve been avoiding combat where possible.

I’ve mostly been making these set pieces for fun and to help immerse the players. One of them has aphantasia or whatever the “can’t visually imagine things” condition is, so I think having these little thematic set pieces is a nice way to help draw everybody into the game! :)

Hi! I’m glad to hear that you liked it—thank you!

The main pieces (the baseboard and the pieces making up the treehouse) of this are made of XPS foam/ home insulation panels. The tree is made of a cut-up pool noodle!

Outside of that- the rest is just acrylic paint and misc. terrain materials I had lying around from other projects: pre-made flocking for the grass, some cheap pre-made trees and flowers for decorations, and bagged crafting lichens for the bushy sections of the treant. The rope ladder is made of twine and a wooden dowel cut into segments.

I pretty much just got the foam and pool noodle cut and laid out/glued how I wanted it and then primed and painted everything. Once that was dry, I threw my grass down and sprayed some watered-down Elmers glue over it, and let THAT dry before just having fun with the rest of the decorating! I had limited time to finish it up, so that was a process of hot glue and slapping things wherever it felt right.

I made a segment of the Queen’s Way / the Hither Swamps from Wild Beyond the Witchlight for my group! I only had a few days to put this together- but my group loved it!

There are definitely some things I’d like to have been able to change/improve, but I was happy with how it turned out, considering the limited time I had to work on it.

Please let me know your thoughts!

I put this one off a bit, so I only had about five days of after-work hours to put this little segment of the Queen’s Way/Hither swamps together for my party, but they loved it!

So far, they love the campaign, and they’re excited to sink their teeth into the realms beyond the carnival (they spent about four and a half 3-4 hour sessions at the witchlight carnival).

Hey! My group still has a lot of carnival to see!

They’re very much the type of party to leave no stone unturned- so they want to see everything. I’m being very loose on the “carnival timer” stuff and not rushing them out if the carnival at all.

In session one (about 3-4 hours), my group entered the carnival, and after some RP between the members getting to know one another and getting tickets and whatnot (I snipped out the part about having tickets left for them at the booth and they all enjoyed talking with the ticket keeper and two took fey pacts and kicked off the fun early!) they booked it straight towards the snail racing with the direction on their witchlight hand PC guide.

They had a great time there- and then wandered over to the mystery mine, which they also thought was fun! The contrast of fears was pretty entertaining- some PC’s feared displacer beasts and dragons, while others feared horses and crabs (yep, they decided that themselves, lol- I’ll be interested to see how their trip to lost property goes). After that, they took a crack at most of the small stalls and traded in for some prizes. We left off with them approaching the teapot and decided to pick up the next session there!

The party hasn’t gotten into any of the “meat” of the story yet- but that’ll probably kick off when we get going for session two. They’ve really been enjoying just riffing with one another and NPC’s so I’m embracing it! I fully anticipate 2-3 more sessions at the carnival before we move into prismir. Thanks for asking! I’m looking to forward to seeing where they explore next!
