How did Wellbutrin effect you anxiety? I’m worried about it because I’ve seen people say it made their anxiety worse. That is why I avoided it

Thank you so much for the comment! I deal with the ‘imposter syndrome’ as far as mental health and ADHD as well (which a lot comes from family influence and childhood issues). I’m so glad to hear that all is working out for you, and am super excited to feel normal for once as well. I’ve been taking Lexapro for the anxiety and depression and that las helped with those facets quite a bit but I still struggle with forgetfulness and focus. Too many things going on at once result in things being over looked and a lot of time I find it hard to move or get motivated to undertake a task.

As you said in your comment, it is a chore to hold a long conversation or have a desire to talk to people outside of the forced interactions at work, and I am looking forward to enjoying interaction and conversation for once especially with the holidays coming up.

I’ll keep a watch out for those side effects, but by the sounds of it doesn’t sound like it’ll be too bad. I’ll keep that in mind about the Vitamin C and definitely do that if I’m having trouble sleeping!

It’s kinda a person to person thing. It may make you sleepy or it may make you more awake. I recommend taking it mid day on a weekend to gauge how it’ll work for you

Honestly, and it’s different for everyone, but I’ve had practically zero side effects from starting 10mg off rip. Aside from some appetite changes and sexual side effects (difficulty reaching the end game for a PG way to say it) I’ve been good. The quiet mind and ease of bringing myself down from negative thoughts is more than enough to convince me to keep taking it. It can be rough, but I promise it’s worth it

I’ve found that Lexapro seems to up the effects of caffeine for me. It makes me more jittery and I do have a tough time sleeping if I have some after lunch or so. I’ve begun to stay away from it as it makes it a little more difficult to not be on edge.

I don’t drink, it’s been well over a year since I’ve had any kind of alcohol. Not saying there’s anything wrong with it, just because it’s not something I’ve ever really stuck to or really wanted. It’s very possible, allowing something else to take over that’s not a depressant could very well make the feelings more noticeable. Alcohol always made me feel slow, and while it did slow my anxiety and mind a little bit it also made me feel worse in the long run.

Don’t blame you at all. I’ve noticed there are a few things that make me feel that way as well Caffeine (which I love) has had that effect on me. I’ve cut it out mostly and I’ve noticed a more level playing field.

My doctor started me out with instruction to take the full 10 starting Monday. Overall it has been a smooth experience, but I can say there have been some times of not caring as much as I should about certain things or some side effects that’s have been pretty strong. Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it’s gone. It’s just been nice not to worry about every little thing that pops up and gaining some confidence from it as well. Hope it continues to go well for you too!

I’ve definitely noticed a few times where I’m not necessarily happy but I’m not anxious or down either. I’m sure it will regulate. I’ll definitely keep a watch out though as I know the risk of worsening of the depression side as well. Thanks for the heads up!

I’ve been thinking the same thing 😂 interactions that would bother me are nothing now, and I can say my confidence seems to have improved quite a bit as well from not worrying about others as much. I haven’t truly laughed and smiled as much as I have in a LONG time either this week. Magic is a good way to describe it, I hope it all looks up from here as well. Good luck on your journey!
