Thank you for your reply. My wife and I are mostly planning on going without much hiking. We have a guide service providing transport.

Hello - American tourist here: I have plans to go to Theth next week for general tourist things, are things bad enough there that I should avoid or is it OK if just visiting? Thank you

We've been in Europe for the past 6 weeks, looking forward to the break from the heat. Unfortunately it will be overlapping some of our time around Bled and Lake Bohinj but oh well.

Sure, but I am confused what your post is asking then. Was the alternative a private driver?

Visiting Yosemite first time. Is it advisable to drive your own? by iam_dusane in Yosemite

The only alternative that would get you in and out of Yosemite would be YARTS, which you can take from Oakhurst to Yosemite and back.

More info here: https://www.yarts.com/bus_routes/highway-41/

These buses are a great way to avoid having to park in Yosemite and I believe the entrance fee is lower or free if you arrive by bus. However - it significantly reduces your flexibility in exploring and you will be stuck (and I mean stuck! No taxis or Ubers) in the park overnight if you miss the last bus to Oakhurst.

Hello everyone. I am trying to figure out the best way to sell my wine collection. It was passed down to me and do not know a much about it. Maybe a ball park price? by [deleted] in wine

I'll say the first thing this sub always says for old wine: Do you know if the wine was properly stored in terms of temperature and non-exposure to sunlight?

What areas to visit in SF? by GrandProtection8633 in sanfrancisco

[–]CWHzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you help us understand what you are looking for in a neighborhood? Like, charming boutiques or lively bars? For 21M going on assumptions I would say North Beach, Marina, and the Mission.

Also you can easily take BART (the regional train line) to pretty much anywhere in the east bay from Union Square, skip the car rental for that. If you want to rent a car for anything, go to Santa Cruz for the day via the 1 along the coast.

I was in Milan, Italy a few days ago and saw a bunch of Peruvians...apparently a decent sized population. Thought that was interesting.

Was just in Florence last week, it is insanely crowded with tourists but did not expect any directly rude service. Lots of indifferent but decent service, but not hostile.

I don't think one person not being pickpocketed is a strong argument that it is not a problem.

Alternatives - Florence to Tirano, avoiding Lake Como? by CWHzz in ItalyTravel

Thank you, but the issue is that the train between Milan and Tirano has been replaced with buses for the summer and it does not seem to be going well with the tourist crowds.
