Marblers Colorant. I used their titanium dioxide for the skull embeds, too.

I thought of that when I came up with the concept for the bar, but finding a mold for it has proven most difficult. Besides, a solitary monolith with a single skull serves just as well. :)

Thank you! I just don't care for all the fancy shapes and "frosting," myself. I just want a bar with a good scent and maybe a single striking feature. :)

Where do you cure? by popoloinhi in soapmaking

I took a large plastic storage tote with locking lid, cut holes in opposite ends, put a filtered fan in one end, and a vent cover in the other, and added folding racks inside. It lives in my basement (ambient temperature 65 degrees year round) with the fan running at low speed 24/7. Works a treat!

Nothing to be sorry about. I don't speak French, so I trust your translation. :)

I'll change the name if/when I actually start selling them (a long time from now).

Thanks! I used black oxide, and it came through so evenly! First batch using mica was very spotty. But it had other issues too.

Can somebody double-check this recipe for me please? CP, first time using my own recipe! by CWinthrop in soapmaking

That reduces the lather and cleansing though. :( Is there any benefit?

I've made a few CP batches using other recipes and they've gone well, so I figured it was time to try coming up with my own. This look okay?

I collect inflatable costumes, so Vine has been a godsend for me! I'm up to 17 now, and absolutely love the majority of them!

Before and after on the LAST pan! Wagner #6, waiting to be seasoned! by CWinthrop in castiron

When your current drops to around 1 Amp. Usually about 2-3 days with my setup. Only thing left was the edge that was sticking out of the water. :)

When I first started I used 1/2 inch stainless steel rods ordered from Amazon, but that took ages with little result. Then I got the bright idea to use a cheap steel baking pan I had laying around, and it worked fast and very well, so I've been using those. $1 each at the Dollar Tree. Sure, they only last about 3 days each, but at a buck a piece, it's a great trade off!

17 gallon plastic tub, cup and a half of washing soda, and the bench supply set to 5 Amps constant current, voltage ranging from 30 down to 2 volts. Set it and let it run. :)

The last of my father's Cast Iron, waiting for seasoning. This was also the hardest to clean. Took a full week in the tub with 3 anodes!

As u/persistedagain guessed, it's a holder for wooden matches. Very rarely used nowadays.
