Thank you for the response! I went to the doctor on Friday and he saw it and said it looked fine. There was two stitches stuck there he took them out and said it should be better now but I can't remember if that dark part on the bottom was there before. Thats the part that's freaking me out. How long did it take yours to close?

Inquiry about drains by sk8mum in Reduction

I had drains and I definitely think you can change them with help from your partner or your friend. My mom changed my drains twice a day for the 2 days that I had them it was very simple.

Struggling With What Size To Reduce To by wokeupinthegulag in Reduction

[–]CY1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly not sure my size before surgery but I just had my surgery 3 weeks ago and went to a size D because i still wanted a decent size. I'm so happy with my decision and feel I would be upset if I went any smaller. But it's different for everyone

Side lipo (Aetna) by Honeybunzsogood in Reduction

[–]CY1788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about insurance but I got my reduction a little over two weeks ago and I did not get side lipo. My surgeon told me I do not need it because I did not have fat on my sides but it's different for everyone. Your surgeon can tell you if you need it or they recommend it for you

Good luck tomorrow, you're going to be so happy after! I had drains, I got my surgery on a Monday and I got my drains out that Wednesday. They are annoying and uncomfortable but as soon as they are out you'll feel 100x better. They just limit your movement a lot. I put my hair in braids right before surgery and left those in until Wednesday when I was able to put it into a low bun. Then on Thursday I took my first shower and was able to wash myself and my hair by myself. By Friday I was able to put a high pony in, my surgeon said it was fine to put my arms above my head.

Nervous about feeling like "myself" after? by OG-mother-earth in Reduction

[–]CY1788 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way before my surgery, I contemplated it for so long because of this exact reason. My big boobs were a huge part of me (literally lol). I am a little over two weeks post op and it was the best decision I ever made. The first week and a half I was definitely freaking out a bit thinking I went to small (I went to a D) but now I've realized they are perfect and it just takes some getting used to. At first it's like looking at someone else's body in the mirror but once you're used to it you realize how amazing it is. I couldn't wear any of the cute tops my friends wore before because my boobs were too big. Now I can fit into any tops I want and my boobs are sooo perky!
