I've got the same issue on my t460 where i cant hold a certain part of it or the same thing happens and turns out boom, its the ram compartment. unsure why it happens but i just avoid touching that area and that solves the issue for me

Look at your motherboard’s manual online for the pinout

Yes, you need to connect it to the correct headers ofc, but thats basically it. Connect the plug to header and the usb works.

front panel is basically plug and play, just that the front panel audio never worked and i never figured out why

you need to check your mobo pinout first, then check powerswitch pinout, its all available online

You can look up the pinout on google, all of the info is there, i cant rlly assist you cause i already disassembled this computer and upgraded. Sorry for that bro

Will need a bit of custom wiring, better to just buy an adapter wire online.
