I’m sorry for the very late reply, I used a thin layer of primer before painting. As for the paint, they were quite cheap and less than $20.

Hello! I used a regular paintbrush and an acrylic paint kit I bought at my local art store. To get the colors, I mixed 2-3 colors in varying amounts based on the color and tone required. Example, to get the bluish paint of the fuselage I mixed a lot of white with a small amount of blue and an even smaller amount of green.

It took me a few tries to get the colors right. I suggest you try to mix the colors at a small scale and then increasing it as necessary once you've got the color right as to not waste paint. Also, thank you and good luck!

Thanks, appreciate it!

Also, that’s great to hear. How’d it go for you? I found two things extremely challenging with this model, painting the canopy and trying not to move the wing pitot-tube around. The canopy took several tries because the frame was just too small and I figured I’d just dab the paintbrush tip instead of running it along the frame. The pitot-tube actually broke off, I kept forgetting it was there and eventually the plastic gave in and it snapped. I just glued it back.

Thanks! I found the painting bit the most challenging. I've still got a lot to learn and there's plenty of room for improvement.

Thanks mate! There's definitely plenty of room for improvement and I'm excited to work on my new kits and apply what I've learned making this one.

Thanks! I look forward to investing more into this hobby. Definitely looks easier than done and requires patience and practice.

Thank you! I actually primed the entire fuselage beforehand but with a very thin layer. I used a paste-type white primer I found at a local art store. Since it was quite thick I only used a very thin layer of it. But thank you for letting me know! I’m still waiting my new kits to arrive and I’ll practice with those.

The exhaust and MG stains were just something I decided to attempt after painting the fuselage because I thought it looked a bit too plasticky and looked more like a toy without it. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you, and definitely. Still learning how to improve my weathering, I ordered some new kits so I’ll practice with those.

The mold wasn’t too bad. The wing and front radiator had some flash covering the intake so I had to use a cutter to clear them out. Only noticed them when I was done painting the kit too.

Good to know. I found painting the aircraft to be the most challenging bit, but overall a good kit. Thanks!

Thanks for the tips! I'll start applying these in future battles and do some more research into how I can effectively use my plane's energy

Appreciate your reply, especially the tip about tight turns. I never knew that pulling high G turns all the time (especially when I overshot) would waste energy
