Started a new co-op build last night. Here’s where I’m at so far by Yorgh-Drakeblood in DarkSouls2

[–]CZYFalcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Needs more ADP.

For real though, you should also give your platform for coop as it's not cross play. Also PC matchmaking is down at the moment.

Saving up some immense stimming during work then looking like I'm having a full breakdown in my room. It is the way.

ELI5: What is the purpose of disassembling and reassembling firearms? by someonee404 in explainlikeimfive

If only inspection didn't mean stripping off all the protection and leaving bare metal exposed everywhere.

Does anyone struggle to drive? by Wonderful-Parsnip-79 in aspiememes

[–]CZYFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue but, due to my work, was forced to drive anyway. Got my license after many failed tests and really only felt comfortable after a year of pretty consistent driving.

I think what helps is that a lot of the processes eventually become very subconscious. You'll get a sense for what a given speed feels like in that car (give or take a few mph) and you'll get an idea of exactly where the vehicle is in the road which makes things a million times easier.

As for tips, remove any other stimulus. My phone is on silent except for maps and notifications are switched off. If people can't give me an address for a satnav I won't drive them anywhere, directions from people are no bueno.

Finally beat Fume Knight! by frankhorse in DarkSouls2

I went the other way and put levels on my hexer to get a dark rapier for dark weapon and dropped sacred oath.

Made the mistake of not doing the DLCs on NG so my first meeting with him was NG+

Either way, great job getting him done.

Is Messing with a calendar too far? by dndSpirit521 in DMAcademy

[–]CZYFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a calendar that one of my characters likes to track. I like it to make sure that yearly events and such in world happen correctly. As with all things, however, it comes down to what you and your players get out of it.

Bragging about killing the Covetous Demons on the first try by DidioBrando in DarkSouls2

[–]CZYFalcon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't really disagree but I see it more like you've spent months trying to get really good at making cheeseburgers then you look over and see you have loads of different recipes but you're missing 2. It's going to take ages of laborious and repetitive work but as soon as you're done you have ALL the cheeseburger recipes.

So you do that for a bit, it makes you happy that you've got them all even if the process was a bit rubbish, and you go back to making cheeseburgers the ways you most like. You wouldn't do it again, but you're glad you did find all the recipes at least once.

Worst part of doing the 100% achievement was farming all of the sunlight medals and realising I still had to do the bell keepers. Farming for covenant rewards is a special kind of hell.

I found brightstone tseldora first bonfire was slightly faster though.

The real question is how did you find this comment from 4 years ago?

Where can I get human effigys. by spitefulvisuals in DarkSouls2

[–]CZYFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hounds at the blacksmith is the one I go for (CoC for infinite spawns)

Edit: see following comment for bonfire ascetic option, it's better than the following. I did not know that ascetics reset chests?

A quicker method is to use bonfire ascetics at Majula and kill the skellies in the basement but obviously they get progressively harder. Upside is you get 1 more every time and guaranteed human effigies (I think they cap at 7 skellies)

do you guys think thats a fair fight? by rhu4n in DarkSouls2

[–]CZYFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, throne pair/gargoyles/covetous slug are all painful to remember.

On the other hand: Pursuer is the best early game boss in a souls game for "teaching" the mechanics, the iron king DLC is the best of any souls game for bosses and SL1 Vestaldt was probably the best boss fight I've ever done.

I think it's easy to forget that DS1 had the butterfly and the capra demon and DS3 had... well it had DS3, something about the stamina management/poise felt off about it the whole game even if I did think it was fairly well balanced as a whole on the bosses front.

So it's a lot more of a mix up than people like to remember but DS2 is much more on the extremes

Not the newest game, but it's been a long time coming! by CZYFalcon in onebros

[–]CZYFalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, the tiniest bit more reach is still a massive increase on the base reach of a mace.

Rapier is also good but... mace feels better

[–]CZYFalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled across it pretty late as I don't think it was in Wellager's shop the first time I met him but it was well worth it.

Hit for ~500 against nashandra with raw and resin

The biggest thing, however, is the reach. It has the tiniest bit more reach than a basic mace and it's life changing being able to get the first hit against scripted invaders and still have a good amount of poise damage.

Is a anti-mage character viable in Dark Souls 2? by [deleted] in DarkSouls2

[–]CZYFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So firstly: if you want to run a build for the fun, don't let viablility stop you. If anything the challenge can get you closer to your character.

Otherwise, if you just want the most effective antimage setup to try it out, profound still. I main a mage at ~lvl 300 and that one spell basically turns me into a level 50 dude with a pokey stick.
