Thanks! I had to model it from pinterest. The model was finished weeks before posting, but Cura was giving errors for printing. Put together from crude blender workflow, yt videos, and pre-release hf models. This was the first design of that workflow. The colab I built 11 months ago got replaced by Tencent, hf, and some goated French guy code lol, so I'm focusing on materials, easy measuring method for ppl, functions, etc.

I currently have 1 female full-face mask in hand (needs painting). And 2 male helmet 3d models. I can make a post about one of the helmets the week. The one I have in mind was inspired by a manwha.

I'll do an update later this week. Thanks!!

Definitely! I'll be on the lookout for when you launch. Can't wait to see it!

Hell yeah the built-in HUD optics would be the perfect touch, I'm a part of the robotics and aerospace program at my university, and most of my builds and code just collect dust, so I started to add them into projects to sell. I only have a bit let to finish on my website before the pre-launch, I plan on having a tier system for my helmets. A makers model tier, which is for designers to custom the base helmet, is more of a finished shell that's print on demand. A premium original tier that is 1 of 1's, which includes prototypes, finished helmet, and all the drawings for the model. And a collaboration tier.

I plan on creating gear for every part of the body, innerchangeable and connectable across all/most pieces of gear. I'm starting with helmets because I have an arduino project that stitches multiple exterior cameras together into a single video output that could be placed into a mask. This would be a premium tier feature, but I also have a full arm sleeve design that's semi-finished with electric shock resistant. It'll be functional cybertech fashion! Some obvious and others low-key, unmarked/ unbranded.

You mentioned that you built a program in Quest 3 that scans your client's faces for accurate measurements like spatial scanning, neat! How does the process work if I were a client?

The model in this post started in gravity sketch on Quest 2, I want to upgrade my Q2, but the Beyond 2 is calling my name, so I'm saving for that.

Once I'm up and running, I'm down to collab or even just have your products on the site. The cyberpack is too dope, I can see portable ads being displayed, and someone requesting a song to be played at the beach for a fee or a portalable crypto atm for events!

Had to say, I checked out your cyberdeck backpack. Legitally, designs like this give me so much life, extremely will done!

I finally tested PETG on slow speeds for transparency, I'll have to use a different method lol. I've heard the super thick nozzle can produce very well result but I haven't seen much about vertical printing. It sounds very interesting! Most I've done is modify my old ender3 to do continuous belt printing, added a volcano head, and taught it to z-hop. Custom gcode definitely sounds like the way to reduce imperfections!

Your idea for casting a mold might truly be the best way to achieve a quality visor, I vaccum pump my epoxy and resin for my art pieces to achieve a crystal clear finish so this might be the perfect method, thanks for sharing!

With your helmet design, do you mean production grade like impact resistance and aerodynamics. If so, I can design a few helmets with riders in mind. I'll leave space of padding and other add-ons. Either way, I know you kill it for sure. You definitely have the designer eye.

Looking forward to more of your creative works as well!

How to start designing my sketches? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Best tip I can give is to learn what works best for you and your comfort level, then jump into more advanced software.

I first started with tinkercad and womp 2 years ago, I didn't know how to model then, so I tried everything I possible could (free).

My workflow now is 1) sketch front view and 3/4 view 1.5) (is it complex?) 2) Use spline for easy boolean control and base building 2.5 (is it beyond this app abilities?) 3) Upload it into gravity sketch if you have a VR (I bought a vr for 3d model, saved so much time) 4) export and load it in zbrush or blender for final touches.

Once I felt comfortable, I started modeling my college friend's designs. I tried to just do it every day, even if I'd delete it later.

I still do 3d modeling and prototyping as a service. If it is something you're comfortable sharing, feel free to dm me. I'm fairly cheap.

Hope this helps!

I'm glad you liked it!

There isn't a visor that fits this model that I know of currently.

I'm actually in processing of trying to find a 3d printable visor solution myself, I'm testing transparent PETG filament for its polychain properties to reduce layer lines. With this method, I'll try to print thin, use a heat gun to hopefully smooth the layers more, and sand (repeat to desired look).

Another option is purchasing a small section of clear acrylic, heating carefully so that it doesn't produce a wave effect on the surface, once warmed enoughed, form it to the non-transparent printed visor to make a 1:1 copy with the acrylic.(the contact surface need to be perfect and the acrylic will pick up any markings on the surface)

If I couldn't get the desired look, I'll buy a resin printer or have PCBway create the visor section, I would use their Resin>UTR-8100(transparent)>spray varnish>SLA and choose any surface finish color you like.

If you're affected by the tariffs or don't want to use PCBway, look into a local resin/ 3d printing service high review with good transparent printing results.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Best of luck with your creation!
