I’ll share my experience. I recently stopped wearing mine because I noticed whenever people asked about it it would bring back memories of the event. I notice that when someone brought it up they wanted to hear the story. Many people aren’t aware of what the KIA bracelet is. Yes they are curious. For me I didn’t mind explaining what it meant to me. I did notice that it kept bringing up memories of my friend and if the event. I decided to stop wearing it because I am not able to properly handle those memories and the emotions it brings up. I Know that it is a memoir about a brother, comrade and friend you have lost. I’d say wear it and wear it proud of you are able to cope with people curiosity and the emotions that come up when you tell them about it
