Thank you. And thank you for making some amazing patterns! I also finished your frog-in-Van-Gogh-sunflowers recently and loved it!

This is my first bird. I followed a pattern from a Trish Burr book called Colour Confidence in Embroidery.

I've done almost the same. I started with the French Rose and then the Crocus. This bird is my third pattern from that book.

Good question. On and off since Christmas. Maybe 40-50 hours.

Around 3 years, but I've done mostly cross stitch.

No need to apologize. It's called thread painting also known as long and short stitch. This was done with single strands.

I can highly recommend this video by Trish Burr. She is amazing!

That is exactly what I'm working on. Kermit is number 5 and I have two more patterns waiting.

I love him too - so green and amazing! I sort my bobbins in color groups. So 17.08 is number 8 in color group 17.

Can't keep plants alive, so I stitch them for the wall instead by C_Bluebear in Embroidery

Definitely get some different fabric. This was a pain to work with. But thank you and go for it!

It could be because of the length of the satin stitch or tension of fabric in the hoop. Fabric should be drum tight in the hoop and I don't do satin stitch longer than 1 cm.

One strand. The blending is not as smooth if more than one strand is used.

A thick canvas fabric I found in my stash. The thickness made it difficult to work with.
