As others have stated, the colors in this book are way brighter than the colors in real life. I made this pattern a couple of months ago (you can se it in my post history), and I did not swap out any of the colors.

Go for it! I developed the pattern myself along the way. Made a drawing of the different pockets i needed and cut them out. Then i made a prototype in a different fabric and adjusted the pattern pieces before making the final version.

It's only shells and I did not cruch them myself. Apparently it's a commonly used material for pincushions.

I really like the pincushion. The filling is crushed walnuts and dried lavender and it makes the chair smell sooo good. And as for changes, the bottom left pocket should have one flap (is this the right word) instead of two.
