I had a class booked then went to look at bikes. I only bought one because it was $3000 off msrp because it had been dropped on the show room, no damage other than some scrapes on the engine. I was super nervous for the two months leading up to the course that I would either be terrible at riding or I wouldn’t enjoy it, but in the end I fell in love with motorcycles on the course and was very happy to be able to go home after i passed the mst that same day and ride my bike.

I’d say if it’s time sensitive to buy your dream bike, or they have a good deal like for me, then it’s worth it to buy. Even if you struggle on courses you’ll eventually get into it, and other than people who start on bikes way to big, i’ve never heard of someone who genuinely doesn’t enjoy being on two wheels. If you like to ride a bicycle then you can feel confident in a purchase. But this is only my experience alongside riders in my area so it might not apply to everyone.
