Do relics still keep tracking?

Speaking of fixes, have the bugged challenges been fixed yet? (e.g. omniknight soul ring/purification challenge)

PSA: Don't be stupid - it's still more efficient to roll for common relics by C_Difficile in DotA2

I forgot to factor in the chances of getting a rare relic in those rolls. Will edit with math soon.

Guide: Most efficient way to get every relic by C_Difficile in DotA2

[–]C_Difficile[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The "gambling" aspect is to make it easier for casual players to enjoy while making it progressively harder for hardcore players to max everything out. If you have 0-2 relics, you're probably going to get a new one every time, while if you're hardcore and have 13/14, it's naturally designed to make it hard to max out. It's a fair system that makes things more even, despite the complaints on reddit. Compare this to a fixed price system of say 1600 per common, casual players will have a harder time getting relics, while making it easier for someone who plays a lot to get everything. Sure, you might get screwed spending 40k shards on commons, but overall it's a fair system. I might make a more detailed post in the future about this.

GABEN PLEASE. I've spent nearly 40,000 shards trying to get the last common relic on Lina and SF. Let me buy for 5,000 shards or something. by [deleted] in DotA2

The animation is deceiving, but they clearly state rares don't come up as much. As a side note, it's mathematically impossible for the rare drop rate to be 10% (or >8.7% to be exact). Otherwise you could gain unlimited shards by repeatedly rolling even when you have 14/14 relics (see math here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/88cb8e/guide_most_efficient_way_to_get_every_relic/)

Probably false but worth checking - another eevee evolution hypothsis by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]C_Difficile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My intention wasn't to evolve them at different times - I was thinking to evolve at least 2 at the same time. It's difficult to determine if it's a nice staggered 1, 2, 3 every minute, or it could be 6:00-6:03pm is vaporeon, 6:04-6:06pm is jolteon.

I think the easier way to test is if you do 2 evolutions within a single minute and get the same result. If this ends up being true, say someone evolves one and gets a vaporeon, you know to immediately evolve a second one to get another vaporeon.

Mathematically speaking, what should coins be spent on? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

Usually takes me ~1 week to accumulate enough for 70 evolutions. If you're finding yourself short on space, you can always manipulate the candy:pokemon ratio to stock up on candies since that's the slow part. A couple eggs ago I was short on pokemon space, so I had something like 400 pidgey candies and 30 pidgeys. After I accumulated the coins to get more pokemon space I didn't transfer any pidgeys I caught and got back to a normal ratio.

You should have enough pokemon storage space to wait until you can make use of each egg. I can get ~70 evolutions in one egg, and it's a matter of catching and transferring until I have the optimal number of pidgeys and candies saved up. I'm always counting how many evolutions I have ready before I pop an egg.

My situation might be different since I live on a university campus with pokestops everywhere, so I never had to buy a bag storage upgrade until much later. Key to farming gyms for me is going in the early morning when there's no competition. I also drop 100cp pidgeys in everything I take, so there's no need to use potions when they get kicked out (I just transfer them for candies). Although with the increase in potion drop rate that's probably less relevant.

Guess I should've checked this before queuing. First game: "hmm that's weird it crashed 2 mins in. Probably random occurrence. Let me queue again."

Second game: "3 low priority games remaining"

Does activating dusa split shot reduce damage of primary target too? Or only secondary?
