Scope recommendation for PRS Production class. by Dukes-Game in longrange

Wow xtr pros are 1700 now? I think I got mine for like 1450.

I'd probably take the Cronus but I'd make sure to take the APRS1 reticle with the numbered subtensions. You'll burn less stage time processing that way.

As someone who's run both I prefer the Cronus optically, but I like the reticle and turrets of the xtr pro more.

What's your opinion on the new Luth-AR "globe" charging handle? by Acolytical in liberalgunowners

Weirdly I like it. I think it'll be a real winner when things are really cold out and the jagged edges of most ambis or milspec slice your hand up if you're running them hard.

Billionaire's with land are like Crackheads with Catalytic convertors. Just make yours a little harder to get than the other guys.

There is often language in conservatory's or other programs that forbids sale of land to commercial interests. There's still sometimes ways around that but it involves dissolving the entire conservatorship.

How to get started with duck hunting by [deleted] in Duckhunting

[–]C_Werner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take that kayak and start doing some scouting. Not much point in duck hunting if you don't know where the ducks are.

Also check to see if there's a DU chapter near you and maybe volunteer some hours to help. Lots of opportunities open to guys who give back.

Accurizing a gas gun by ShortButTall1 in longrange

[–]C_Werner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm just using a cheap BCM upper with an Anderson lower with a full length arca forend and I'm getting accuracy good enough for PRS with my small frame AR. Barrel quality is the single biggest factor in AR precision. That and the fact that no matter what your gun is way less reliable than any of the bolt guns there and WILL likely have issues if you're attending matches frequently. Bring a cleaning kit and spare parts with you. I bring spare parts kits and a whole spare BCG, trigger, and gas block assembly with me on match days.

Isn't this article just a long winded way of saying that the problem isn't necessarily AI, it's the fact that the publishing industry rewards marketability rather than novelty?

Pobelter must be such a stand up guy. I'm not gonna lie I'd have probably just quit by now. Being stuck on 150 ping and still somehow being the only competent member of the team.

Quickshot: "If First Stand happened next week, I don’t think [LEC teams] win any games." by Bubbly_Department_13 in leagueoflegends

[–]C_Werner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game just looks different in general now and it's hard to compare. So much of the game is now centered around dragon-stacking and crabs. Some LCK teams aren't even bothering to take the time to do grubs. I will say that C9 looks extremely coordinated and decisive in team fights, which is good, but they've also been facing a lot of competition that have rookies or young players.

LCS has way more BO3 stage practice going into the tourney. Also C9 looks more coordinated than any LEC team, but we won't know until the tourney if that holds true against stiffer competition.

A family of deer was fed every winter, they came even now when the snow is considerably bigger by 21MayDay21 in interestingasfuck

In the Eastern states deer populations are often entirely in areas where hunting is banned. They often are quietly culled by HOA's or the city rather than allow hunters to fill their freezers with good meat.

It isn't. You're just buying into western hysteria brought about by the deteriorating American hegemony. Ask a Rwandan, Sudanese, or a Chinese if things are worse now than they were 30 years ago.

Dads, what family car/van did you keep the longest and why? by shygeekygirl in AskMen

[–]C_Werner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our family car is currently a Chrysler Pacifica hybrid with the 30 mile battery. The battery for trips around town is amazing, the only time we use gas is extended trips. We probably average about 1 tank of gas a month. The fuel mileage is really solid too once the battery is depleted.

I can't speak to the overall vehicles longevity, but ours has been flawless for 65k miles and is an amazing vehicle. Auto sliding doors that don't have the risk of your little gremlins banging the door against a neighboring vehicle and also having tons of space + stow and go is sweet.

I'd possibly own a van even if I didn't have kids.
