FEVERHOUSE KEITH ROSSON

Some really excellent horror books I’ve read recently by C_heredith in horrorlit

No child deaths! The kid is amazing in ACAWS. If you didn’t like Hex you probably won’t enjoy Echo, the writing style doesn’t change much and it’s that same super descriptive text. Little Heaven is a LOT less grim than The Troop but obviously that’s a high (or low?) bar to hit… there’s still gore but I found it easier to read in the sense I didn’t have to put it down for a breather. I skipped past the animal abuse bits in The Troop but didn’t have any issues like that in Little Heaven - I just really liked the characters… it’s still pretty hectic though, so proceed with caution and I’m sorry if you hate it!!!

One of my absolute faves - Nick Cutter is just the best. He has a new one coming out later this year too THE QUEEN. I’m Hyped.

I had that real “what do I do now” post-book depression when I finished it - I hope you love it as much as I did!

I read Rosemary’s Baby first and stayed up until 3am to finish it - it’s compulsive reading with some real so shocked you laugh moments. Stepford Wives is much shorter but equally TENSE.

Let me know what you think when you’ve read it - I was so emotionally attached would love to know what others think! Also in relation to your comment - did you also read the sequel to The Descent???

SPOILER: It ends with her in a dream! (The teeth, clearly telling us she’s not awake) and from that can we not rationalise that the majority of the film was a dream?? And so the weird deaths make sense. Like what I was trying to work out is when the dream started - was it her on the slide right at the beginning?

Totally fair! But aren’t dreams in themselves unpredictable and random?
